Dalvin Cook is da bomb. So good they seemed to want to play Yearby because he is UM commit. Cook looks like the real deal.

So is yearby. I'd gladly take either, although I'd take cook before yearby because he already has ideal size to go with his speed and yearby needs to add about 10 lbs

I am not sure he is too small to be a every down back. Dalvin measured in at 5'11 196 at the opening. I think he is probably 200lbs right now. He should be able to add more good weight once on campus he will be an EE. The question is really what is his optimal weight and do you want him to be able to carry it 20 plus times a game ?

He is not as natural at the RB position as one would like but IMO opinion he is better than Lane and Tayor and should get more touches next year.

So you think he will get more PT than the RB's already on campus with a year or more under their belts?

Yes because he has a unique skill set that we can use right away, unless Showers is better than I think he is.

So you don't foresee him having any trouble blocking and learning the system like Taylor and Lane?

I could see that happening but he can get on the field without having to do that. They can put him in packages and formation where blocking is not needed. He can do jet sweeps, kck return and punt return without needing to learn how to pass protect. A lot of the things Hines/ Patton /Showers from a running perspective they do not need to be proficient in pass protection.

Yeah, he's that special. They'll find ways to get him touches regardless of the running back situation at the time. He'd be a great change up from Matt on stretch plays, jets, anything he can make one cut and go. He'll have to add size gradually because of his frame and may need a couple of years to handle SEC pounding as a bell cow. Without seeing him in person it's hard to really say but he looks like he has a slighter frame but packs on muscle pretty easily. He could get as big as he wants but like AZ said there are limitations. You don't want to take away his ability that makes him special. He's had a good summer and has been working you can tell. He's familiar with the inside of gym and that's a great thing. I like that gym rats like Ivie and Lane are becoming the norm and I don't think it's by accident.

He's a bigger back than Gilly was at the same point. I can easily see him getting up to 210-215. Maybe he starts off getting the ball in space, but I expect him to be an every down back before his UF career is over. The trick with gaining weight is not gaining too much at once. Mike G gained about 15 pounds and got faster while he was at UF.
