What was his record after Tenow?
I guess what I and some of the others are getting at is that Fisher has done a great job turning FSU around. Even if some if you do not want to admit it.
Call me a troll or whatever, but did anyone think after we beat their azz last year that the semis would this year destroy us and be playing for a NC?
Yes. But that was in a weak conference. Haha
Understand what you are saying, but Meyer won big at Florida without Tebow under center. Tebow was not the key to Meyer's success.
Yes but that was in a weak high school conference. Haha
and I said if I were wrong, i would have no trouble admitting it so i stand corrected, however, there's no need to act holier than thou. If you have an axe to grind wit my postings, go ahead say what you feel you need to say, get out of your system, and lets try to share more productive posts without putting each other down so we can call ourselves "tall" shal we?
I agree with you. I used to think Jimbo was a crappy coach but he has improved steadily.
If Jimbo wins the NC, does FSU offer him a raise and extension?
I did too. I wanted him to stay as long as Bowden. When I saw how many assistants he lost last year I thought sure they would sputter this year.
Had Bama promised Rapeist that he could have played baseball as well as football he'd have signed with the Tide.

I think Dameyune Craig convinced Winston that Bama would never start a black QB.
Totally agree. It's unbelievable some of these comments. Basically, the guy has to go undefeated every year or otherwise he's a terrible coach. All coaches lose games they shouldn't, especially when you're on top. Saban just lost to an Auburn team he wasn't supposed to lose to. Meyer lost to Ole Miss, at home...leading to "The Speech". Spurrier lost to underdog Ole Miss and Miss State teams (while at UF) several times. Jimbo has been there 4 years and has only lost 10 games. People claiming he "got lucky" with Winston are just proving they truly don't know his record/history. Additionally, those that have bashed him for years are the same ones that justified the hiring of Muschamp (both coaches basically followed the same career path, one on O and one on D). And the records clearly speak for themselves. Jimbo is playing for a National Title....and we're not even playing in a bowl game. But, if you read this thread, Jimbo stinks!
Thghost, it has everything to do with SOS. FSU's SOS is horrible this year. To put things in perspective, if Muschamp's team last year had FSU's schedule from this year Muschamp would have played for all the marbles. Would you admit that Muschamp was an amazing coach if he took last year's team with FSU's schedule this year and went all the way to the MNC?
I am not saying that FSU is bad, but Muschamp would be an elite coach using the same metric that you are using when you say that Jimbo is an elite coach.
Last year's Gator team was insanely lucky with turnovers and winning close games. Let's not forget it took half a miracle to beat the mighty Louisiana-Lafayette Rajin Cajuns. Or the game vs South Carolina where we scored more points than gained yards.
The only game where we looked like a legit Top 5 team was vs FSU. I think part of that is Muschamp takes the philosophy of using games vs Sun Belt/FCS opponents to prep for someone else to the extreme. It certainly expains the loss to Georgia Southern and sleeping walking vs ULL & Jax State.
Pat Dye said Auburn wasn't man enough.
How could he convince him when history shows that Andrew Zow started for Bama in late 90's.
Okay, I think it was Saban who's never started a black QB.
Ok, maybe they aren't tired , maybe they throw the towel in knowing the offense sputters all over the place and can't even get a field goal........better ?
they did that in november
