I hope Auburn schools the crimmies!
"I'll build a team that I think will win a championship, I aint worried [about the SEC]," Fisher said. "I've coached in the SEC for 13 years, I know the good and the bad. I know the propaganda and the truths. Orlando Sentinel.

Yeah, I hope they lose too, looks like some bulletin board materiel.
Problem is if there's a team that can bet the SEC this year, it's FSU. Frankly I'd feel better about the game if Alabama was in there.

Listening to Mike & Mike last week, Greenberg said he had spoken to four people at ESPN (no names disclosed) who ALL thought Jeffbo will be the next head coach of Texas. He also said, the longer Texas goes without naming a head coach, the more likely it seems that Jeffbo is headed to UTx.

The last few years he has been a bumbling idiot with many Noles wanting him gone after our game with them last year. All of a sudden he's a genius.....yeah right. He is the "Big game Bob" of the ACC.

I have this outlook on Jimbo: LSU, when jimbo was OC there, was much more beatable then than they are now. When we have all things equal (coaching staff, players, etc.) we beat a jimbo-coached team 8 out of 10 times. It's all cyclical, we will back again (not really sure of the timetable but eventually we will) and wether he stays at the clown school or goes to the short horns and we meet them in a bowl game, we will beat his teams again.

No need for him to do that. Auburn wins outright.

This FSU team is the best they've had in a decade, but I still think Auburn will school them. They will have no answer for that offensive line and I think Auburn's D will contain the nole offense ala Oregon 2010.

All of us should want the Nolies to go down in flames.
Big... bright... burnt orange and navy blue flames!
    I am talking.... fireball.

I want the Nolies beat... I want them not only beat... but embarrassed on national TV.
And ALL of us should feel the same way.
I have never been an Auburn fan... but you got to love the Tiggers for beating the Pacyderms and totally raining on the Bammy's Christmas Circus.

Those houndstooth tree ornaments are hanging quite a bit lower this season.

So, for the Tiggers to beat the Clowns would make my season!

Thank you. Guess I should have combed the archives before posting... ;)

Wow...what a brutal let down for Texas, if they thought they were getting Saban.

Well, if anyone really believes that, then they'll be rooting hard for Fischer to stay at FSU instead of taking the Texas job.

When SOW was struggling under Fisher after he replaced Jeff Bowden, Martin Fennelly of the Tampa Trib coined the nickname Jeffbo as an insult. I like to carry that on.

    Agreed.

I don't think Fisher is in the Urban Meyer/Nick Saban league just yet. However, I'm curious what Fisher has to do to be considered a good coach (by those on this board)

According to most here, these credentials don't cut it:

    - Going 13-0
    - Being ranked #1
    - Coaching the Heisman winner
    - Winning a BCS Bowl game
    - Winning 2 conference titles
    - 44-10 in 4 years as a head coach
    - 3-0 in bowl games
    - Three 10+ win season (9 wins in the worst year)
    - Going 3-1 vs. in-state rival UF
    - Going 4-0 vs. in-state rival Miami
    - Being the OC on a BCS Championship team
    - Having a QB taken #1 overall in the NFL draft
    - Having another QB taken in the 1st round
    - Replacing 6 coaches from 2012 coaching staff and leading 2013 team to a #1 ranking/BCS Title game birth
    - Is rumored to be the leading candidate for the best job in college football (Texas)

    Ummm... in the ACC.

Against decimated Miami and weak Gator teams.

At a school that is fine with sex orgies in the dorms -- which is apparently acceptable behavior, as long as you don't get charged with rape.

To answer your question, at least this year -- beat Alabama. Which they won't get the chance to do. And could not have done anyway.
