I think the plan was for Driskel to finish his eligibility with Grier taking over the following year. Now with Driskel being injured he will no doubt apply for a medical redshirt keeping Driskel around for another year. If Murphy plays well the remainder of the season, and Driskel comes back with another year of eligibility, might this cause Grier change his mind, or is he confident enough in his abilities to come in and compete for the job?

I think its too early to tell right now. If Murphy surprises everyone and lights the world on fire, maybe.

More likely however come February, Grier will be treated as a conquering hero by everyone on this board.

Grier seems pretty confident. There is a link on the board somewhere to a video interview of him recently, and if you watch it you'll see what I mean.

Relax and take deep breaths. That.... will work itself out.

This also affects wide receiver recruiting. If a kid comes in thinking his only job will be to block down field for a running back because the quarterback can't pass, he might be more likely go somewhere else where his pass catching skills can be put on display.

Can Greir come in January if he wants? Could we add a junior college QB for the spring?

You can't ignore this coaching staff when it comes to who plays and when they play.
Superior talent is clearly not the deciding factor.

Grier knows there is a chance he redshirts. I doubt he goes anywhere unless there is a coaching change.

AGAIN! The thread is about Driskels injury and QB recruiting and NOT K. Taylor.

If you can't stay on topic, then stay out of the thread/threads. It's not that difficult a thing to do. At least for most people it isn't.

The comparison you are trying to make here is completely bizarre.

I'll let you read the OP again, then read the person you quoted. Hopefully you will figure it out.

Non-stop sniping at the coach. So you don't like our coach, BFD. You are predictable and tiresome. Go some place else.

Not sure if this has been said or not. Got this tweet from a buddy who goes to UF now.

@GatorChomp16: Just got a text from my brother. Driskel slipped outside of the Florida gym earlier today. Fell on his leg. Had to call ambulance
