You forgot he wants to go elsewhere
dad wants him to go to UF
For the life of me, I can’t understand why ppl bash a player that is on the verge of possibly signing with us. At least wait until AFTER he chooses to start that crap. Calling him a coward is just pathetic on so many levels.
Ill never understand bashing these kids at all. Especially given the decision is likely the biggest of their entire life. There are so many moving parts to the recruiting machine that its sometimes hard for kids to attend their dream school - even if offered. Depth charts, coaching personalities, family pressures, and many other factors come into play. Its likely not as simple as they are "scared of competition".
A prime example of this is our very own recruitment of Copeland. That was extremely hard to watch. I felt so bad for that kid. I have a HS junior, and while he isnt being recruited for any sports, just the college selection process is a daunting process for him. I cant imagine adding the pressure of D1 recruiting, out of touch fan bases, and all the other stuff to the process. It has to be extremely stressful for all involved.
You must be an insider.
So much for those crystal balls. He's going to Arky.
He might move to DT if he finishes that cake by himself.
Oh well where did that come from?
Arkansas? More power to you bro!
Paraphrasing DM, we didn't go after players for the sole purpose of padding our numbers. I also agree that bashing these guys, when we don't actually what's what, is classless and counterproductive - particularly before the fact. If Arky really is where he wants to be, or is his best opportunity to play - goodbye, good luck, have a nice life.
But you still have to sign full classes or choose to be on probation, in effect.
I've been reading that it was either because we got Langham and didn't want to use another ship. However, I've also seen claims that there is some problem behind the scenes. But heck, he might have just decided it was best for him.
In any event I wish the kid good luck. The jerks who bash him should take a vacation from the internet.
Loser mentality. My guess is those knocking these kids have accomplished little in their own lives. Sad and pathetic little men.
Yes....MarineG8R has it. Small and narrow minds......low self-esteem......have to take it out on those unable to defend themselves.
Yeah those geeks are about as good at that as the recruiting geeks are at predicting how most of these guys will turn out.
I read someone on another site say to look out for them. Something about some of his friends going there.
I think we all don't see this as an L with who we brought in Wednesday. The moment he said he was waiting until Friday, we knew he wasn't UF bound
Wait a minute.....Arkansas wasn’t in my summary. Should I edit the summary?
Naaahhhh, I’ll just wait until next year. I am sure that the predictions will be much improved!!
That's one way to look at it. However, I trust DM and staff to build a high quality, well balanced roster more than any HC we've had since Meyer flamed out. If I understand correctly, we are not seriously short on overall numbers and the 4 or so open slots we do project to have can be filled as players our staff really wants come available during the upcoming cycle. And even that assumes that Gerald didn't back out on us for whatever reason. IMHO, Mullen has done a very good to excellent job to this point and he deserves some time and space to do what he thinks is best.
