Let's see....you tell your girlfriend (who's part black & latino) not to bring
black people to see a game where your coach and players are black in 2014?
Plus, you tell her not to take photo's with popular black ex-players like Magic Johnson?
Not-to-mention that a good number of people buying your tickets in LA are also black (or latino)?

Sounds like someone should have relieved you of your ownership....like 20+ years ago.

Classic, although what he says to his girlfriend over the phone should really not be made available to the public.

Maybe this is "Too Hot", but the SCOTUS has declared that if a private citizen "broadcasts" a cell phone signal it is unprotected and even the police can intercept without getting a "wiretap" approval from a judge and it is admissible in court, but if a corporation "broadcasts" via satellite it is totally protected and you may not intercept the signal.

Apparently, Sterling has quite a history of a racism. Excerpts from a 2009 article.

I'm glad he did too, but its not really a big risk for him to take a stand against overt racism these days. Some of you may remember MJ better than I do, but I remember most of the criticism against him being his unwillingness to take on any kind of political situations. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but those are usually more polarizing than the stand LBJ took here. Still glad he did though.

For the record, I do not support Sterling's remarks or his behavior.

But, a point to ponder ...

This is a major news story, not only on sports pages but as the lead story on the CBS Evening News.
Major air time is being given to getting statements from all sorts of people. People are calling
for Sterling to be stripped of his ownership of his franchise.

Why is this? What is the big deal? Who cares about this?
