If you had noticed what I said, I'm willing to speak out of my ass because everyone else seems to be doing so. However, I did support it with facts (see my original post). Also see my response regarding how teams are valued. If you need facts to support my post, see below. Obviously you didn't read my post thoroughly

Easy. Because their 4 road games have been against the Saints, Browns, Colts and Patriots, teams that sell out all their games no matter who comes to town.

Last year the phins had the worst attendance in the league percentage-wise by a large margin. This year they are second worst. Longevity means they have more fans around the country, you are correct. But if you can't fill your stadium at home, and have been amongst the worst in the league consistently, you should probably not proclaim some sort of fandom superiority. All the teams in Florida have attendance issues. Miami happens to be the worst.

14th is average at best in attendance, does not indicate a nationwide fanbase. I never said the Dolphins don't have a fanbase, I didn't even say that they don't have appeal, albeit limited, I did argue with your post where you said "The Miami Dolphins have one of the largest fan bases in the NFL," which even taking into account 14th rank road base, still does not equate to one of the largest fan bases. Even being generous, a larger than average road fanbase doesn't mean they are of more value than a team who does better on average at home than the dolphins. All things being equal, they both suck. Which is my point. The jags suck, I never took umbrage with that. I just don't agree that the Dolphins are somehow the team of Florida, or deserve the rest of our reverence for merely being around longer.

To be fair, that comment regarding people in north florida don't care about the Jags...that statement can be applied to the entire population of Florida, at least those who still pay attention to football. The vast majority care about college football.

The Dolphins also happen to have the state's only WINS this year.

Seriously Bucs and Jags fans, at least win a game between you before you start talking smack.

Spin it how you want. My only point had been that Florida is overwhelmingly a dolphin state. Never said our attendance was good. We may be king of shit mountain at the moment but we are still king

At this point I'm not sure Florida has a pro football team.

So you are basing your argument against conjecture with more conjecture? It stands to reason there are many more dolphin fans in Florida than jag or bucs. That's just common sense

So true on the last point. The Fins have looked inept at times this year, but you can't really compare them to the Bucs or Jags. After all, they've actually won games ... two of which were against divisional first place teams.

You obviously haven't read any of my other posts so I won't respond to the conjecture point. Anyway, how so? Do explain because I obviously don't see your point of view and would appreciate some supporting evidence.

I read your post thoroughly ... you're both general and yet alluding to facts simultaneously.

When the High Speed Rail from Orlando to Miami is done, I hope to go to games by lounge car, taxi in and out, and return by lounge car.

I question how many of you have been to Dolphin road games. I have been to multiple.

At Carolina for instance a few years back, there were at least 10,000 Dolphins fans.

I dont get the animosity amongst Florida NFL fanbases.

I was born in Jax...grew up on the Gulf, but am a Phins fan...but I root for the Jags and the Bucs every single week, unless it hurts the Phins to do so.

There really is no rivalry amongst pro fanbases in the state.
The closet thing was the Heat/Magic of the mid 90's.

My animosity came from gator/dolphins/buc fans hoping the Jags move. It's still prevalent in threads like this and all Tebow threads. I used to also root for the Bucs and Phins. But as a sports fan I never understood rooting for a city to lose it's team I felt really bad for lifelong Sonics/Browns/Expos/Whalers/etc fans when they lost their teams. We all spend a lot of time, money, energy, and emotion cheering on our teams. Cheering for that to be ripped from someone is shitty.
