Just turned to the NFL Thursday game and I thought it was the U playing with the amount of fans in the stadium....I think 30K would be a stretch looking at the crowd.

I've noticed some Dolphin fans on here love mocking the Jags for their lack of fans, etc., so this is especially funny. Some Dolphin fans like to believe the Dolphins are Florida's pro team. Results say otherwise.

Well the Dolphins were the first and only when I was growing up. I hate the Jags about as much as UGA and FSU these days.

Dolphins and Bucs have terrible attendance and have been below average the past few years. But for some reason only the Jags catch flack for it.

Sturgis just missed another filed goal and has made just one of his last six; I'm afraid he's going to get cut soon...

The Dolphins are Floridas pro team and its not even close. Most Dolphins fans don't live anywhere near Miami. Its not a centralized fan base. The Miami Dolphins have one of the largest fan bases in the NFL. The Dolphins have a nationwide fan base due to their success as the NFL was becoming the national sport in the 70's much like the Steelers and Cowboys do. Every major city in every state for the most part has "Dolphin" bars where the fans meet up on Sundays to watch games.

So am I to assume that the Gators don't have many fans or is no longer the states college team due to the empty seats I've seen the last few seasons? It's 2013 boys. Game attendance isn't where the money is made and isn't where a fan base is to be judged any longer.

If Sturgis keeps missing FG's there will be one less Gator playing for the Dolphins. He started out looking great, but has been off the last few weeks.

The Bucs and Dolphins actually have fan bases. The Jags have a few people that like them and the rest of the region has the Jags forced on them. People that had been watching the Dolphins since their inaugural season couldn't watch them because they had to watch the Jags due to their television market. They've been resented largely ever since. The fact people in Florida had to buy the Sunday ticket to watch Floridas first pro franchise was insulting.

Jags fan can also be like the FSU fan. "Look at me! We are just as important as you are! We are Floridas team! I'm going to be annoying abut it until everyone believes me!" Unfortunately FSU won't move to L.A./London/St. Louis after the Rams move to L.A. Like the Jags will

The question Dolphin fans are asking is, where is Caleb Sturgis? 1 of last 6.

Jags aren't going anywhere...you better try and get multi year deal on nfl ticket. Jags are not floridas team but neither are fins anymore. Get over it..it's not 1972.

Actually the question should be....where is the offense? Almost like watching the Gators.

Attendance numbers say otherwise! It's only this year, due to blatant tanking, that the Dolphins have barely surpassed the Jags. So much for Florida's team lol. The rest of the state shouldn't be forced to watch the Dolphins...they've been as mediocre as any product the Bucs or Jags have put on the field. What is insulting is to think that people in north or central florida should be subject to watching Dolphins games. We'd rather watch our own crappy teams lol.

Just because a team is first doesn't make them the flagship franchise of the state.

Pure conjecture. It is well known the Jags are a national laughingstock, and as a Jags fan, its understandable. Doesn't mean the Dolphins are any better. Being well known doesn't equate with having a large fan base. The Steelers, Cowboys, Packers, Bears, etc. have large fanbases. The Dolphins do not.

Living in the past, they are no longer a national brand...haven't been that way for a few decades now.

Dolphin's fans in Miami are the same crap fans who don't show up to canes games, but are the first to talk shit. As a dolphin fan myself I hate going cross state for that reason, but I do. Luckily this year I can go watch us play in Tampa.
