Posting a poll after a loss is bound to be skewed, if you ask me. Especially after a third straight loss to the poodles.

Here is the problem. In a year like next year when other teams will be down, we should be competing for the national championship with a 4th year coach.

What I believe is more likely is that we will probably lose 2-3. No championship, but enough wins that it would be crazy to make a coaching change.

We were hoping for the next Nick Saban, but I believe we may have the next Mark Richt.

Transparently speaking, that is my observation.

    In Christ forever,

Let's look at some SEC coaches we consider pretty good and their SEC record through their first 3 years...

    Saban
    2007 4-4
    2008 8-0
    2009 8-0
0.83% winning avg in the SEC through the first three years

    Miles
    2005 7-1
    2006 6-2
    2007 6-2
0.79% winning avg in the SEC through the first three years

    Spurrier
    1990 6-1
    1991 7-0
    1992 6-2
0.87% winning avg in the SEC through the first three years

    Meyer
    2005 5-3
    2006 7-1
    2007 5-3
0.71% winning avg in the SEC through the first three years

    And a few others...

    Zook
    2002 6-2
    2003 6-2
    2004 4-4
0.67% winning avg in the SEC through the first three years

    Muschamp
    2011 3-5
    2012 7-1
    2013 3-3 (currently)
0.58% winning avg in the SEC through the first three years

I have no faith in our offense and see no improvement in the future. Yes we have recruited really well in the skilled positions this year and last, but have not done well at getting good olinemen. There is a problem when you can't get a kid that not better than 27th at his position. I see no reason why we can't get better players on the oline. I'm not very impressed with our class this year other than the big 3 on offense and a few on D. Jmo though

Absolutely. Next year he will be coaching a team consisting of players that he has recruited for his style system. I believe the sky is the limit. What we need to figure out is how to keep our players healthy. I don't know if that means changing our S&C style or if these were all just freak injuries.

Well, it certainly means one thing: in each of 20 games they have NEVER shot themselves in the foot.

Can we say the same about Muschamp?

Not making a case for hiring Meyer, making a case against keeping Will.

If Grier is at least an above average qb and he cans Pease and hires a real OC after this year, then absolutely.

    lol

People, this program is moving backwards, not forward. Our HC has set us back several years with his "blue collar" approach and gaps in recruiting. We are screwed and need to make a change-now

The problem here is, one could answer that poll any way they wanted and still be correct with any answer IMO.

The point I'm making is that if Muschamp remained here for several more years, sure, he'd probably eventually win an SEC Title. I think it's only fair to say he would, but...

IMO, do I want to wait another 2 - 3 years ( a total of 5 or 6) for him to win one and maybe possibly his only one?

Inconsistency is Muschamp's downfall as our HBC right now, and does anyone here believe Gator Nation is going to be happy with several years of inconsistency, an SEC Title, several years of inconsistency, an SEC Title, etc.?

Because frankly, that's what you're going to get with Muschamp.

    Well that's a given.

Can anyone name a worst coach in the SEC? Unbelievable a program like ours has the worst football coach in the SEC

Next year will be his best chance. He's got no more excuses in terms of "talent" as a majority of the starters should be his recruits by then. All our major SEC competitors are going to break in a new QB with no starting experience. If he can't at least win the East, he may only ever win if due to fluky circunstances.

so, you must think he is a good coach if you think he can win an SEC title, but you dont want to give him enough time to do it?!

Once he gets the pieces he needs we will be in the SEC race every year. He needs a better OC though, and if he doesn't get rid of the one he has now it'll cost him his job
