    What do you think?
Does Gator Baseball make it "IN" to the tournament or are we left OUT?

i'm thinking we one of the last 4 left out.

I'm voting that we make it in on our SOS. If we hadn't played a strong schedule then I would be with you that we are out. There would have been no guessing if we had taken the series at GA or beat T A&M in SEC tourn.

    Hoping yes but thinking no.

Very weak finish - probably needed to beat Ga or make a little noise in SECT.

    16 home losses.

If the committee is serious about RPI and SOS then they should make a statement and put us in over the weak conference/ weaker RPI at large teams.

With the SEC schedule, and 3 against Miami and FSU we are always going to have a good SOS.

speaking of the schedule - who would you like to see on the schedule?

we usually have a northern school on early - they love it, coming down to florida in february. i'd say - invite another big-10'er down like ohio state or michigan. we should rotate amongst the big 10 for an early february series.

i like going around the state too. when miami comes to g'ville, UF should come down to s.e. florida to play the likes of FAU or FIU. mid-weeks w/ UCF in orlando, and USF or FGCU [away] are good for gator fans from around the state to get a taste of gator baseball.

I picked the first option. I don't know if we're one of the first four out, but I definitely think that we're in the discussion. I just see us as being more likely on the unfavorable side of the discussion. I still say the outlook was much more bleak in 2003.

    Go GATORS!

RPI @ #35. Probably, and sadly, among the first four out.

It doesn't soften the schedule but I loved the Cal State Fullerton series. I would love to see us host a top program (UNC, Clemson, Oklahoma, Texas) and then travel to them the following year.

Understandably unless you're really strong that can be risking your national seed chances considering the SEC schedule, FSU and Miami.

yeah, cal state fullerton was a really strong way to start off the season. i would do that again when we do have the likes of fontana, zunino, tucker, randall as upper classmen ready for such a challenge.

being in florida: i don't see us needing to travel any early in the season, however. being in florida, we can attract teams to come down and play in [and practice in] the warmer climate in february!!

Didn't we play Indiana earlier this year and they swept us?

Very pleasantly surprised. Hopefully, the team plays well enough to get a rematch with the Hoosiers. Have to think this team will be playing loose with nothing to lose. Indiana has had a great season, but could be feeling a little pressure playing at home.

9 sec teams in, but Carolina got a pretty tough draw IMO. They have to beat instate rival Clemson and then possibly the top ranked tar heels to get to Omaha.
