Did Urban snitch on Brian White and UF for an alleged secondary violation?

We all acknowledge his accomplishments at UF. However, that does not get him forever Get-Out-of-Jail cards that many wish to grant him. How many times does he screw UF and people (Urban apologist) still give him a pass?

He can do his osu job w/o pissing on us.

I wonder how Jeremy feels now about giving urban the unearned $1M bonus.

Well, I don't know Clay Travis but I do know if Meyers lips are moving, he is probably lying. I have no doubt that he would turn us in to gain an edge, question is, did he? Im going to say he probably did.

Get out of Jail free card for what? Nobody gets a pass to me all of these coaches are slimy in one way or another. It is the nature of the business. I dont think Foley cares about the Mil and I bet he thinks Urban earned it with what he did for UF like him or not.

At first, but then the arrests still kept piling on with Meyer's recruits and it became apparent it was Meyer's entitled team culture that fueled the lack of discipline.

The system mainly works with rare elite QB talents like Newton or Tebow or Young which is why it is so inconsistent. In Meyer's case, because of his predictable play calling it didn't even work that well with the loaded 2009 squad without Harvin.

The 2006 offense massively underachieved. Leak would have been a legit Heisman candidate in many other offenses. The 2006 team won with amazing defense first, luck 2nd, and offense 3rd.

I dont know how he would even know about it or why even care that much. It would be a secondary violation where we might lose a few days on the road and would really not help him securing the commit that he was going to get anyways.

On the other hand Meyer is petty at times. Funny thing is this bump rule was put in because of Saban and Meyer

Fail to see the point you are trying to make. We won with Leak as the QB Tebow was used as a fullback. Brantley would have done much better with Percy as well.

My thought was that Samuel probably casually mentioned it to Meyer.

Once again it is HIS program and he is responsible for all that happens underneath it including the employees. Dont like that stop accepting million dollar coaching jobs at big time universities. He is responsible for the ENTIRE program all year, not just saturdays during the fall.

It seems you were trying to say that Meyer's offense can work well without a Tebow like QB in a major conference. My point is that it can't. The 2006 offense was not good, especially considering the talent we had. We won in 2006 because we had the nations best D and even then we barely squeaked by a lot of games. That team was kinda like the 1998 Volunteers, but with more talent and a even better D (and we crushed in the NC game while they barely won). Meyer's offense works well only with great/very good QBs. It is a heavily QB dependent offense. Also unlike other versions of the spread that have unpredictable play calling (like AU with Cam), Meyer's playcalling is dreadfully predictable so it requires even more talent to compensate. Even the 2009 offense which was loaded massively underachieved because Harvin left.

Brantly would have done better with Harvin, but still nowhere as well as Leak. Leak was far superior than Brantley. Meyer will never again be blessed with the talent he had in 07-09. To get a talent like Harvin at the same time as Tebow is very rare.

Liar. Hypocrite. Other things I won't type. Hope he loses every game and loses sleep every night because he has no character.

Really? So football coaches are in charge of a schools compliance department that oversees ALL sports?

He just needs great talent. He might not find another Harvin but he is loading up on offensive talent at Ohio state they are going to score a ton of points for years to come.

I find it extremely hard to believe that some random guy is patrolling the internet and checking sites about recruits and saw some written article and pressed forward without acknowledging anyone in the osu football department or having any burden of proof whatsoever or backing from the university. If thats the case I can see why the ncaa takes for ever to investigate these cases, there are to many.

I agree that he will rule the big 10. He won't win a NC though, but he will have plenty of stress free conference title 11 win seasons with BCS bowl wins.

Sure just like the president and the AD. The one thing I am not sure of is if he is in charge of the compliance department that seems like a terrible practice that would be a conflict on interest

I thought you were done talking about him J/K

I can see him winning a NC and I can see him not winning a NC it is going to come down to his OL and DL not his skill players though
