LOL who does this??
my issue with this isn't the call, it's the target (Orr).
I thought it was a brilliant play. I had no idea the Center could ever be an eligible receiver.
Once again, its the failure of the coaches to teach the players how to complete plays. But the play call itself, was awesome.
It could have been a good play - but it was one play too late. It also didn't materialize as we'd hoped, there was a defender in front and behind him. Trey probably should have punted it.
If it works everyone calls them a genius. I should just leave tonight because the negative folks are rioting
I liked it. It just wasn't executed perfectly, which is what it needed to be
It was a good call. You're a genius if it works, and an idiot if it fails. We had no other choice but to try and throw the kitchen sink. I admit, we should have been trying more stuff like that all game -- even if this is probably the most creative playcalling we've seen all year.
People who draw up creative plays. High risk high reward, derp.
Was very telling how the OP didn't show up to the thread tonight till things started going downhill. Glad I put him on ignore
It's one thing to draw up the play and call it for that situation, it's another to he passing to a defensive tackle 20 yards down the field. Mind baffling
It'll be like this until the season is over, looks like
I don't have a problem with this call. It was aggressive. Something we've been lacking.
I've actually been on all night in the game thread, Cleetus
We would have had a better shot at our kicker throwing that pass to Skylar.
To Orr? Playing to lose.
Great call. It was there. The fact that it was dropped doesn't change that.
it's a high risk to throw a 20 yard pass to a defensive tackle in coverage alright. No kidding
I liked it.
What I didn't like too much was seeing them afterwards laughing about it on the sideline.
The dumb part of the play was having Trey throw it. They run Trey in the wildcat time and time again. Why not let him throw it out of the wildcat? So you have Trey, who never throws, throw it to Orr, who never catches. I guess we caught them by surprise.
Orr played TE in high school
Aggressive play call. Orr was wide open and Burton put way too much air under it an allowed USC to recover. Orr couldn't make the grab.
I will never understand why people continue to think that play calling is the problem with this team.
