I realize this board has become a bit saturated with the daily anti-Obama posts, and even as a Conservative I get a little tired of it. However, with some on the board some how still managing to insist that Obama didn't intentionally mislead anyone with his promises, this seemed worthy of a thread:

well he voted for it. shouldn't he have known what was in it?

the dems were walking lockstep with their commander and were not capable of independent thought or it never would have passed. now they seem to be realizing that his robes were not so fabulous after all. too late, they need to run on their record and their vote for it and own it

Rahm must have been an intimidating character in that steam room.

Anyone with common sense who bothered to do the math knew this would happen. This was never about healthcare. This was never about health insurance. It was always about giving the federal government more power and control over your life.

Those who saw it as "cheap health insurance" will get the biggest sticker shock.

Poor choices have consequences for EVERYONE.

Of all the various things said in the lead-up to passing Obamacare, this one always bothered me the most since it was patently a lie or gross misrepresentation.

And this is just the beginning. Wait until the business exemptions start ending. More people will lose their health insurance when their companies decide it'll be cheaper to pay the fine than to continue paying for employees' health insurance. That was one thing I repeatedly asked in 2009 of Obamacare supporters...who never could quite figure out how to answer that one.

Agree. Businesses are in no obligation to offer insurance. They do it to attract the best possible workers as long as it's not too big a cost. If it becomes too much of a burden it will be scrapped, even if it means lower quality employees. Nothing stands in the way of profit.

I not sure about this Dem from Oregon, but the other Dems, especially the Dem Senators in the red states, that want to appear to do something about Obama-scam/extortion/tax are the same ones that voted for it in the first place... I guess they never even read the damned thing.

It's a 6 year term that's about to come to an end for all of them.

They drank the Party kool-aid. Understandable. Now that re-election is coming they are scattering like cockroaches.

Yes, not TOO transparant? Politicians are such ugly creatures.
