"worst offense in the history of the universe"....

I'll assume you were just having fun...

The O stats are especially misleading for many teams this early in the year, many of the SEC teams have been feasting on non-conf cupcakes, and a 50+ point game v Austin Peay or Sam Houston St does not accurately reflect offensive ability.

    Look at UT.

Scored 45 v Austin Peay (#223 in Sagarin)

    Scored 52 v W. Kentucky (105 v Sagarin)

    Scored 14 v OR

Its the same thing with AUB, Missouri, LSU, Miss St, Vandy, LSU, TAMU...they have all hit the 50+ points bell at least once v a team ranked below 150 in the Sagarin rankings.

2 or 3 games in, one 50 point game skews the stats.

Other SEC teams do have much better offenses than UF....TAMU, UGA, Ole Miss, but they look like their defenses are so bad that nearly all their games will be 42-35 kind of affairs.

Looking at the SEC stats, its early, but....

...its good to see 3 UF pass catchers in the SEC's top 10 receiving yards/game

Its alos interesting to see that UF's D is the SEC's top ranked D (#1 in Rush D and Total D, Pass Eff D, 3rd down D, #2 Scoring D), but there is not a single UF player in the top 50 tacklers in the SEC..

UF is really playing team D...

Um, why exactly are you talking defense in a thread about defensive statistics rather than complaining about the offense?

From what I've seen around the country so far, I'd say UF has the best defense in the country.
