That couldn't possibly be. According to everyone on this site ESPN hates us! :D

Honestly I'm surprised and happy with the news today. I expected it to be them saying Kansas blew the game and we got lucky...and they didn't. I really though Kansas looked so bad that would be the headline...but when I got home headlines basically said Florida is good....put a huge smile on my face. I've seen so much negative the last year with the football team that I just like seeing positive about my school again in the paper and these hard working kids earned the good headlines.

LOL. That was actually not my intended point in my OP. I actually usually defend ESPN. I was just pointing out the one Florida highlight in the show last night, that was sandwiched between all of the AW highlights.

ESPN goes by hype and by what gets ratings. They prop up a program one season and totally sell it under the bus the next, if it gets them better ratings.

Currently, the main thing ESPN does is to pile on. It infuriates a very large and passionate Gator fanbase (driving up ratings) and pleases Gator-haters (also quite numerous--which further drives up ratings). Get used to it until we start winning again. Then, it'll be a Gator love-fest from the vast majority of the talking heads, while one or two contrarians "debate" the others and take a critical view.

On my iPad and can't copy and paste, but the ESPN Grantland top-12 rankings has some good things to say--and interesting point that UF is under the radar because of no NBA lottery picks, not overall talent

Two plays I would have loved to seen on the highlight reel. . . .

    1) Kasey took the ball the length of the court in what seemed like a milli-second, and completely crossed over and felled a KU defender in route.

    2) Scottie had one of the best head fake baskets you will ever see.
