    yeah, i think coaches should be rewarded for doing well, but maybe should give something back when the team isn't playing up to expectations. it would be what the market would bear.

    Too much inconsistency for the resources available there. That's a great college baseball job. They should essentially have their pick of candidates outside of the big names.

    I remember looking at UGA's year-by-year records a couple seasons ago and being flabbergasted at the inconsistency. They really would go from CWS contender to non-tournament qualifier and back again almost every year.

    Of course, they have been much more consistent over the last few seasons. It's just been consistent in the wrong direction.

    I'm sure that was a tough thing to do for McGarity considering that Perno has been at UGA from college till now.That's the hard part about being an AD.
