That writer isn't that smart. He says since Hand hasn't been to Florida and hasn't been to Bama in over a year, Michigan would have the upper hand. If anything, I'd be worried since he has schools he hasn't visited much on a list with UM. This means Florida and Bama have that extra chance to blow Michigan out of the water.

I don't know that any school can "blow Michigan out of the water." They are one of the top twenty universities in the world and happen to have a decent football program. It's a very nice campus with great facilities and a huge stadium. UF and Bama just have to sell the unique opportunities they offer to gain an edge.

I see what you're saying but I just mean as far as this one recruit goes. It doesn't even have to be about the University itself, these kids go to another school for all sorts of reasons. I'm just saying that UM has already shown their hand so UF and Bama have an advantage being in the Top 3 without him visiting. Now if he visited UF and Bama, and he still had UM #1 without visiting them, I would agree with the writer when he says UM has an advantage right now.

Im sure UM has advantages right now but one advantage they have that is big time is Jabril Peppers. Kids want to go to schools with talent they feel is comparable to their own.

UF should be fine then since our roster has better talent than UM's.

Hmmm... Don't understand this? Is this meaning this years recruiting class? Look up and down Michigan's roster, tell me what player you look at and say Dante Fowler? Ronald Powell? Marcus Roberson? Johnathon Bullard? Louchez Purifoy? Antonio Morrison? I mean Florida's roster top to bottom is more stacked than that of UM..

Do you want to challenge yourself against superior competition playing in the SEC or play one to two meaningful games in the Big ten against overall less talent? If you are elite talent I would think you would want to be challenged..it will be Bama or Florida.

Michigan is not a nice campus. Not sure where you are getting that from. I grew up in Michigan and went to my fair share of games at the big house. The campus is intertwined with city of Ann Arbor a very city campus feel. If you were to compare it to anything maybe like Tallahassee but definitely nothing like an SEC school. There is nothing beautiful about it

You're drunk. Ann arbor is a great campus. I grew up in Michigan as well and several close friends attended UM. I've been attending an occasional game there since I was little.

Don't get me wrong, I'm partial to Gainesville but you're taste is questionable at best if you think Ann Arbor isn't a nice campus.

Ann Arbor has the best burger place I've ever been to. It's a great city, would not call in a horrible campus at all

Blimpy Burgers rocks. That place is ridiculous on gamedays. Deshawn, if you're reading this you'll hate it! ;)

I'd put Ann Arbor in the top three campus towns and Michigan in the top three campus environments in the Bit 10. I've got 19 year-old twins who I schlepped all over the Big 10 the last couple of years. Don't know of an SEC campus that holds up to their top four or five, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Iowa and Michigan. Indiana isn't far behind. Academically, it's not even close. UF would be in the bottom half of the Big 10. We've got to win this one based on football. Glad this kid is already enamored with the SEC.

I am right there with you. That campus is fantastic. I actually like it a little better than UF's and I like UF's campus a lot. It's a fantastic campus. Beautiful setting.

I flew up to visit my buddy in Ann Arbor while I was at UF and it was the first time Id been there since before high school and the one thing above all else that stood out to me was the amount of hippies. To me it was astronomical. Only negative Ill attribute to UM.
