How much of an impact was losing Quinn to the NFL hurt us?
Not sure if it is the injuries or different personal, but our D doesn't feel as solid as last year.

I Feel the team would be better off if he was still on the staff.

Not much the players we are missing is the problem. You lose two NFL LB's 2 NFL safeties and 2 NFL DT's.

Agree, similar to 07...we had to reload on D. I think as long as Will is an HBC the D will be good.

Losing Easley was also a huge blow not only to lose his talent and D-Line depth but he was a leader we lost. One of the few we really couldn't afford to lose

the D had no chance today, however most of us think that they will bail us out of every scenario because that is what we saw last year. floyd, bostin, jenkins, elam, evans... those guys aren't there anymore. thats a big hit AZ makes the perfect point

He doesn't coach offense and unless I'm mistaken, he didn't have any impact on penalties at Florida.

I agree. Need to jettison Pease and Davis because, similarly, I feel that our offense will remain horrible so long as they are on staff.

I think I saw Vandy running the same 5 plays all game, only difference was they kept moving Matthews to different spots in the formation. Oh well. Just hope the rest of the season ends quickly.

LSU lost like 100,000 kids to the NFL, FSU 78,000 kids, etc. And they're doing better than us

Well the big difference is they didn't have a coach who missed on a bunch of players and also lose a bunch of players through a coaching change. They have had Les forever and Jimbo was a coach in waiting.

FSU lose Tim Jernigan and they will be a different this year ro injury and they will be a differnt defense as well

What? They gave up one real drive all day.
Vandy got 183 total yards...almost half on one drive.

This dazzling post was sent via my Samsung Galaxy Tablet using jet packs custom built for Gator Country.

They weren't given a chance? Or they didn't give it a chance? The team looks like they've quit.

Oh please, not given a chance? They needed 1 stop and instead of a stop, they gave up a 18 play, 8 minute drive for td.

I said it earlier this week and I'll say it again. That vaunted defense went to the NFL and it's name is Dan Quinn. He was the driving force behind it last year.

Beware...another negative post: I apologize in advance...no matter where all of this dialogue goes- the bottom line is look at our record. And, if Muschamp does stay...if he doesn't produce big-time...I hope he lives in a gated neighborhood. He'll be run out of town. They wanted to run Herbstreit out of town in Ohio when he dropped his homer thing as an announcer for like five minutes. Let's say Muschamp can recruit-I question that. Let's say he can coach defense. He can. I just don't think he knows how to implement an offensive game plan, his theory on offense is boring and I'm highly skeptical of his ability to hire. I hate that he went away from the spread - that's just my personal preference. And, the thing I hate most of all is that I'm this freaking negative...

but I find it hard to savor anything this season. Okay...one thing. We have finally, undeniably hit rock bottom. The silver lining is we can only get better. That is unless we lose to that 1AA team. Maybe one more win this year. Our bowl game would be beating FSU. Based on what I know of math and probabilities, I'd have a better shot at sacking Kate Upton before dawn. Go Gators...find a solution. The truth is out there somewhere.
