He has been all Gator until about the last two weeks. I suspect uncertainty is the real issue--as well as Kelvin Taylor's emergence prior to that. Hopefully a new coordinator will smooth things over, as well as some information about the possible extent of Matt Jones's recovery. We really need Cook. He reminds me of Alex Collins in his breakaway speed and big play ability.

I don't think Taylor's emergence has any impact on Cook. DC will get on the field regardless of who we have on scholarship returning in the backfield. This is a Gator team that is desperate for playmakers.

I think the real issue might just be the cloud of uncertainty that has been hovering over Florida, with everybody knowing that changes were likely to happen (which they did) at the end of the season. Combine that with the sudden excitement surrounding FSU's program, and it's understandable. Out of curiosity, is there any truth to the rumor that Fisher might bolt for Texas?

We need this kid. He could provide that immediate impact and spark this offense so desperately needs. He would be playing from the first day. There is tremendous opportunity here. Hope he can see that and what an impact he could have in bringing us back to prominence again.

We still have a little bit of time with him to try and turn him back. I, for one, have not given up hope. Thankfully, our team will not be playing anymore this season. That will help. No more chances to see how terrible we were. I want him so.

The problem is, the fact that Brown got only 8 carries and Taylor only 6 against fsu isn't going to exactly look appealing to Cook. Then there's also a a very big "gem" in our backfield by the name of Adam Lane who I think is going to be very, very good.

Hes been saying things in interviews that made him sound unsure. I think T-Rob just went in home with cook and it helped our chances. How much, cant say. I really feel like its just us and fsu.

Some chatter that we are in the lead again for Cook again.

Who knows what the end result will be, no point in stressing as fans as we can't influence what he does.

We'll see where he ends up in January.

All we need now is the kiss if death quote: "I'm going to shock the world!" The only thing that will shock me is if he picks us.

Losing Cook would hurt badly. We don't have a stable of RBs. Sure, UF will be fine and we won't stop educating students. Losing him to a direct rival will be even more disappointing.

Yeah I don't think he would go to Miami as they already have two RB commits. Out of the 3 Florida schools I think he has the greatest chance of early playing time at the University of Florida.

IMO the Gators running back are perfectly fine with Matt Jones, Kelvin Taylor, Mack Brown And Adam Lane.

Dalvin Cook would be lucky to see much playtime as a freshman if he commits to UF. I can't understand why most people on this board seem to think that without Cook that the entire class is worthless. Taylor has at least 2 more years at UF.

UF would be glad to have him but wouldn't miss a beat without him.

Agree, Cook's best chance of immediate and positive impact, is with the Gators.
