I understand the first tech because of Jimmy B running onto the court but I don't know about the second tech...

Disagree. That was a bad call made worse by the circumstances.

Yeah, at a minimum, it was a call that could have gone either way. Not one to fuss that grossly about.

Looked like a charge to me and I didn't care which one of them won. Very close call though.

I agree with Boheim. Game was over due to that call so he gave the ref a well deserved piece of his mind.

Anyone saying terrible call or garbage call has never been a ref in any sport in their life. A fifty fifty call is impossible to make but with that much contact you HAVE to make a call. It may have been wrong, but it's really easy to be a ref when you watch a replay 20 times. I've been a ref through college...there is NO call harder I promise you especially if you change a rule like they did.

That is exactly what I saw too, Wes.

Duke player with both feet firmly planted - arms raised - Syracuse player mows him over - aka charges.

After the replay you didn't hear one peep from the announcers that it was a bad call. But before they showed the replay - you'd think 'Cuse was being robbed!

The call was correct and then Coach Orange made an ass out of himself....

I agree that he needed to send a message, even though it will look like he was the reason they lost. Personally, I think it was a 50/50 call that went to the home team. And add in the last game where it went their way at home, I call it two equal teams and they are both 1-1. Nothing wrong with that.

And if Boeheim is a good coach, he will use the two losses as a teaching tool. That may be a really good loss for their psyche. JMHO

This is a good point, we get the advantage of a replay and we still can't agree. The ref had to make a call on the spot with no advantage of a replay. I would be curious as to how neutral observers would call that on a single view without the advantage of replay.

That's the way I saw it, too. At full speed, the call looks like it could go either way. In slow motion replay, it looked like a charge to me. In either event, there is no excuse for the profane, ape-sh!t reaction by Boeheim. He has to be an example to his players on how to stay under control and play it out to the final whistle. Syracuse was still in the game until Boeheim lost it.

Yeah, he obviously leaned in to that one. Under the "new" interpretation especially, that's a block all day long

I can't believe an argument for refs actually worked LOL.

But if that happened against UF I'd be a complete hypocrite :p
