I'll never root for Duke but I'll let someone else do it for me. :D

We need the Dookies to win if we want the number 1 slot in the polls. Should be another good game and i do plan to watch it.

IMHO, Duke is going to utterly house Cuse tonight. I don't see Coach K losing the rematch at Cameron.

It's basically this for Gator fans
Duke losing brings us to number 1 or tied with some bs Austin college no one cares about for home win streak

Syracuse ensures we are number 1 in polls

    Whichever one loses...we win

UF probably should be #1 either way. Bottom line: Syracuse lost, and had been struggling for awhile leading up to that loss. So it was a bit of a trend that they were not really playing like the #1 team.

But I will pull for Duke to win in ugly just in case. No doubt if 'Cuse goes into #5 and wins, they will at least keep SOME votes despite their horrible loss. Especially if the game is as epic (and well played on both sides) as their first meeting.

This is why i don't even care about this (as far as UF taking the streak from Duke).

Of course I hope UF keeps it's own win streak going FOREVER (so we'll pass Duke eventually anyway, right?;)). But what Duke does tonight has no bearing on that. However if Duke knocks out Syracuse, it does 100% confirm a #1 ranking for Florida. If these were some kind of ALL-TIME streaks of course I would think differently, but I have no idea how long that would have to go to even worry about all-time. So in terms of who has the "current" home court streak, I'd say that is far less important than even spending 1 week at #1 in the polls.

There is something about having that #1 ranking next to your teams name. I'm all for anything that helps UF get #1, if that means FSU beating somebody, or Duke beating somebody, so be it.

26 all at half. Some great defense and some poor shooting. There was a lid on Syracuse's basket late in the first half.

Evidently he would have to be paid MORE than $7.3 million a year to do that too

Then don't. I was conflicted for a bit, but when I think of it. . . Duke losing is almost never a bad thing. They lose and we can work the home win streak. Plus, 'Cuse wins, stays #1 and our guys feel slighted, get pissed and try to make a point at Vandy. I don't give two rips about being #1.
