I will take it!
If we could land Campbell, Ivey, and Holland I think it would solidify our spot for a top 5 2015 class next year when you throw in whoever else we get, however, that's a a big "if". Campbell could potentially be the bigest pickup for us on offense if we don't see much from Robinson, Fulwood or any other guys at receiver this year.
Got a long way to go though, fingers crossed!
The combination of Cowart and Jefferson, if we land both, could give us one of the most dominant pair of edge rushers in the nation. With the possibility of Fowler Jr. leaving early after this coming season, and not seeing promising development from other edge rushers, these two are just as important as landing Campbell (offensive playmaker), Ivey (dominant tackle), and Holland (sure hitting linebacker) and meeting their respected needs.
It all depends on the season, more precisely on Roper. How could is this guy? Everything is on him
Like the article but still have to consider two things.
1.we have eleven months to go until signing day 2015.
2. Depends on how well we do, or not do, on the field in 2014.
Gotta love predictions a year before signing date.
To a degree, 8-4 and, "looking good! feeling good" and we land a top five class easy.
I see what you're saying..record wise, what's the over/under? If I'm following you right, the over/under is 8-4...is that correct?
Hey! I'll have you know........nah you're right.
You're so short sighted!!!! Forest for the trees, my friend...forest for the trees.
I could live with 8-4 "IF" our offense looks good and in our 4 losses we make it a hell of a exciting game. And of course those close competitive losses are to upper tier teams and not of the lower tier variety. With our brutal schedule it's hard to imagine us not finding ourselves in a few difficult situations.
agreed. I do believe however, that a 9-3 record would be more appropriate because champ is really going have to show the alumni/fans something above average despite the brutal schedule to show that 2012 was not a fluke.
I was thinking that myself. To me a 9-3 record would suffice. We just need o beat either UGA or FSU or both. But I also see us being able to pull off some stunners too against maybe a inexperienced bama qb if our DB's can give him fits.
To be honest, it's usually a pretty thin line between great and ok seasons. Hell, Auburn was 2 miracle wins away from finishing 8-4, yet with a lil' luck...... bammmm! Natty time.
Well not really that's looking good feeling good trading places style. I would say over/under should be 9
No way I'm satisfied with an 8-4 season... but no matter what happens (record wise) I'll still support my team afterwards.
The question becomes will foley support champ at 8-4?
After supporting him after a 4-8 season, right or wrong, I'd say yes with signs of a functioning offense.
I believe that would depend on our margin of victory in those 8 wins as well as how close our 4 losses are.
I see 9-3 being very attainable; seeing as I don't believe we lose to all 3 of bama, uga, lsu first year starters. I just don't see our defense and DB's not giving one or more of those guys fits.
