    Cruz is extremely intelligent, he was a debate champ at Harvard.
    He is smart enough to know what the base wants and delivers it. His problem is that in catering to the base he alienates everyone else , the gvt shutdown was a perfect example.
    Just another nationally unelectable hero of one the the wings of a party.

    It always comes back to Reagan :)

    The latest poll numbers for Ted Cruz taken last week have him at 28% favorable and 40% unfavorable while the body he is coming from (congress) has a 10% approval rating.
    Run him if you want, but don't be surprised when he flames out, he's essentially Palin with more brains.

    How did Reagan do in his first election? Not to mention Cruz isn't even in an election right now. Do you even think most of America even know who the guy is?
