Orangewood Christian (1-2) was outgained 499-61 in offensive yards by Montverde Academy (1-1) but won 28-27 last week. Rams senior Waynedriko Smith scored on 40- and 42-yard interception returns and a kickoff return. . . .

Orangewood didn't have a football team when I graduated back in '96.
We did have a heck of a soccer team. I'd like to get back home someday and take in an Orangewood game (football) and, possibly, a match (soccer).

I'm like tilly on this--not sure if you are joking. You aren't aware of the "Escape Goat" phrase here in Swamp Gas which has been going on for years?? "Escape Goat" was intentional in case you are wondering.

We need another one of those threads started bringing up all the 'inside jokes' here in SG.....explaining the legends of Saban's Thanksgiving dinner, escape goat, jet packs, the dentist cousin(or something like that), a "friend who works at Shands and gets inside info"....among numerous other folklore/legendary phrases and jokes so as to bring some of the newbies up to speed.

Escape goat isn't just a swamp gas phenomenon, it's been passed across the internet for literally decades.

    see also Escapegoat (from urbandictionary.com)

"A goat used to escape a hostile or dangerous situation. Has no connection to "Scapegoat" whatsoever. The Escapegoat is usually ridden on its back by the escapee. They run very fast and uncontrollably. A sub-category of the Goat species."

I didn't mean to imply it was started here or unique to SG--just that it has been an ongoing 'joke' for a long time.

Along with the others--which many did get their start here in these holy and sacred threads.
