I want Norvell so that means we'll get Helton or Applewhite

He is about to get paid by ASU

    Doug Haller ‏@DougHaller2h
Been told ASU President Michael Crow is involved in re-working Mike Norvell's contract, which tells you how much Norvell is valued.

    Mike Jurecki ‏@mikejurecki1h
More on ASU Mike Norvell could be one of the highest paid OC in the the Pac12, also being discussed a new title Asst. HC & OC.

Funny, WM apologists use the injury excuse for this seasons struggles. Not only was USC hit with the injury bug along the offensive line, they are still paper thin in numbers due to the crippling sanctions. They lost 30 scholarships. Marquise Lee was playing hurt half of the season and their qb situation is as bad or worse than ours.

UCLA has a hell of a defense. They took away the run and made Kessler beat them.

Notre Dame did the same thing.

Sometimes you hae to watch games and not scan the boxscore to get the real story.

Yep, it looks like it won't be Norvell.

Arizona State: We told you earlier today on twitter that Mike Norvell wasn't leaving ASU. Now, multiple outlets are reporting that ASU is working on a new contract for him. Will update...

Woo Woo….Wait, I was only posting the numbers for people to see the info. I’m not even a Helton fan. I know UCLA had solid D this year and ND is never an easy match up. So whats that say when Helton comes to the SEC?? Exactly. Don’t talk to me about scanning box scores bro. I just moved back to Pcola from New Mexico and West Coast games was all I ever got most times. Sometimes, you’ve got to not ASSume and RemainCalm. ;-P

It really says zero about him coming to the sec. Outside of the big 5, the sec is no different than the pac 12 or the big 12. There is no large gap between the bottom feeders of the big 3. The misguided notion that Vandy, Ole Miss, Arky, etc can win or be top 3 in others conferences is ludicris.

All I was saying was USC had injuries like us and a raw qb. I dont think 2 games should define Helto or give a true read on him. Personally, I dont want him anywhere near Gainesville.

I would hate to see Kiffen in as OC , however, he would probably be very good at getting us back on our feet in the recruiting department.

If Helton is the guy, I'll support him until proven otherwise, but I think if Champ is really talking about installing a new offense, it would be smarter for Champ to go with a guy who has installed an offense somewhere before. Unless he's going to have Helton start with what we have as his base offense and go from there. He can trim out stuff that would tend to slow us down / over complicate things, and he can certainly increase tempo and put more focus on stretch plays, all while working with what we've got. Maybe that will be the strategy.

I would go with somebody that has installed an offense some where else as well. But iF he want some sort of hybrid system Helton might be the guy. The Memphis offense he ran is a lot different then Kiffin's offense at USC.

Strike another one from the list:

Arkansas State: Sources tell us that UNC offensive coordinator Blake Anderson will be the new head coach at Arkansas State.
