This thread is based on who is being reported as a candidate. Not a wish-list or fan suggestions.

Thought I would put this together. Some sites have put together "their opinion" of who we "should go" after. I stayed away from those reports opting to build the list with candidates that have either been reported to be pursued by WM, or by candidates that reporters can build a logical argument for when it comes to believing we may pursue them.

Also, not wanting to turn this in to a wish-list. If another site is reporting someone as a candidate (not just who they feel we should go after), feel free to add to the list, with the site, or reason they are a legitimate candidate.

    Updated: 12/3 7:37am
re-ordered based on the amount of buzz/likelihood of candidate per recent reports

    T1. Clay Henton- USC OC/QB coach-coachingsearch.com
T1. Lane Kiffen- former USC HC/OC-Joe Schad
T1. Dave Christensen- former Wyoming HC, previous Mizzou OC- cbs sports Bruce Feldman
    4. Blake Anderson- UNC OC- alligatorarmy.com
    5. Derek Dooley- former UT HC-TOS
    6. Mike Mularky- former Jacksonville Jaguars HC, former Atlanta Falcons OC-Pat Dooley
    7. Joker Phillips- Florida WR Coach- another site that follows the Gators
    8. Brian White- Florida RBs Coach-another site that follows the Gators
    9. Dameyune Craig- Auburn co-OC-TOS
    10. Kurt Roper- Duke OC-coachingsearch.com
Jed Fisch- Jacksonville Jaguars OC, former UM OC- coachingsearch.com
Mike Norvel- Arizona St. OC/QB coach- coachingsearch.com
Kerwin Bell- JU HC/OC- included because he was interviewed last time

    Discuss, add more, etc.!:)

My top 3, albeit maybe not 100% realistic, choices.

Kevin Wilson - If Indiana fires him. Brilliant offensive mind that was one of the first to implement the HUNH concepts at a major program.

Jeff Tedford - Not a great head coach or recruiter but his development of QBs and RBs speaks for itself.

Mark Mangino - Our fanbase won't accept him because of his size, but the guy knows how to do more with less. He learned under some great coaches and understands the Air Raid concepts that are all the rage right now.

Dude, take a step back and read the post. This thread was not created to be a "wish-list" or suggestion page. This thread is about what is being reported. TOS has him listed as a candidate that may be pursued.

So yes, I actually typed it, because he is being reported as a candidate by a site that said he may get considered by WM.

Apparently Lane Kiffin has been in contact with Will Muschamp via a GatorBait.net twitter post. Don't know what the post says because I'm no member.

I understand all you said. What I said was kinda tongue in cheek, but kinda not.

I couldn't type and damn sure couldn't/wouldn't accept satans spawn on the coaching staff.

I thought it was weird seeing Weis in O&B.

Kiffen would take the weirdness to a whole new level.

But I'm a results oriented guy... if he gets the job done (and keeps his mouth shut) I'm all for it.

He would not be on the top of my list either. That said, he and Will go back, and it is in the realm of possibility that he gets a look.

I hear ya. Certainly not my favorite coach during the past several years. He can recruit though, and he can call a good game.

He stole top playmakers from the flagship programs in the state when he was elsewhere. Imagine if he were to set up shop in Florida and go after some of the playmakers down here.

As to his personality, maybe he has picked up some humility over the last few stops.

Yeah, I just can't stand that guy, but he did sound like he knows football when ESPN had him on Gameday a month after he got fired. He's a better television guy, and not a Florida guy. However, I'd accept him as I did with Weis.

Dave Christensen is gonna be considered for OC per CBS Bruce Feldman. He would be a great hire.

Even if he is just being considered, then that means Muschamp must be willing to change the philosophy dramatically since Christensen has always been a no-huddle pass heavy spread guy.

It would definitely be very encouraging if it is true.

I wouldn't mind having Kiffen set up shop in Gainesville for two/three years. That's a move that actually would make sense, although it's not likely to happen. I also like Dameyune Craig. He doesn't quite have the experience that others on the list do, but he is an up-and-coming name in the coaching world.

Of course, Bell's name has been thrown around and to me he's as proven as any other name on the list. The key will be finding somebody who can groove with Muschamp. It'll be interesting to see what philosophical changes-if any-Will decides to make heading into next season, and how he and the new coaches he decides to bring in can adapt to exactly what he wants to do. Kiffen makes sense, but would he and Champ mesh? Nah, wishful thinking.

If WM hired Kiffin I would not even respect him as a man anymore. No way Foley lets that happen either. Kiffin is terrible person and coach...imo.......he ran USC into the dirt quick and hes a gigantic ass as well.

The thought of this makes me want to throw up.....I cant believe we would even consider him??

The only upside to Kiffen would be that the Vols would lose their minds... Kiffen appearing on the sidelines at Neyland...Lulz!

    Otherwise... DO NOT WANT

If Lame Kiffin is hired I'd have some real reservations. Once again, that douche gets fired and lands a nice gig. There are far better candidates out there. I seriously hope we don't get him, even if is the best recruiter in the land. There's enough rotten spoiled people in this world that get countless opportunities to succeed, I'm hoping Kiffin doesn't get that chance here.
