After taking a year off from basketball, Cody is playing at South Dakota State this year. He's playing very well this season, averaging 11 ppg, 7.5 rpg, and 1.6 blocks in 28 min/game.

He scored 13 with 11 boards in a loss to Montana last week, and just recently put up 12 points in a loss at Texas Tech. His team sucks but he's doing very well.

Cody always had the talent to be an excellent college basketball player, and he is a very physical guy. He just had a lot of problems and a lot of nightmares to get over first (his background is sad, I've talked to people close to him, which are unfortunately are very few). He would have been an asset to the team this year if he could have made it through Billy's mental challenges (Billy's trials are almost Homeric, lol) but like most kids under Billy's mentorship, he became a better person in the end and I'm proud of him. I hope Harris has a similar awakening and he does it while remaining on our team :)

Happy for him. If you stick it out, Billy will make you a better man, and a better player.

Yeah, he's in the cold north rather than the warm south, but it is good that he is contributing to his team, even if it isn't very good.

Those stats did not look to bad to me. He just ended to grow.

Good to hear. Chaney is also doing well at High Point.

He meant that his team is bad. They're 1-4 at the moment.

Walter Pitchford is also finding a niche at Nebraska as a shooter.

Both could've contributed here had they stuck it out, imo. I have no problems with guys wanting to get more minutes elsewhere, though.

You mean Kenny Kadji. Eloy Vargas went to Kentucky and did nothing.

Why did James White transfer? Looking at the numbers, he played fairly consistently as a freshman.

Abukar went on to have a nice career at SDSU (I think)

Appleby was probably turned into the best pg that left, lucas never did much

Johnathan Mitchell would make a nice 6th man for the all transfer team

in the words of a former football player describing why a teammate had to transfer,
    "he ain't got no pencil"
    translation: grades

My recollection was it was academic related, but I could definitely be misremembering.

I believe there was also a paintball gun in the dorm room incident as well.
