Enough to pass it, and those are just the ones who will admit it publicly ....but Boehner still won't bring it to a vote.
It is becoming clear this is more about Boehner holding on to his speakership than anything else. He is the one who said months ago he would bring a clean CR to the floor, guess he likes having the gavel.

Republicans are being strong-armed by Chicago thugs. Obama knows how to use those tactics. Just like his lack of leadership by saying we will default if this isn't passed. No we won't unless he forces the Treasury to not pay our debts next month. If he does that, it will probably impeach him in the long run. We have more than enough to keep away from default and by law we have to pay our bonds and debts first before anything else. We'll see who has the backbone to confront him if it comes to that. I know I wouldn't have a problem with calling him out. In fact, I'm doing it now. He's the first President in history to do the wrong thing here - every President before him said under no circumstances will we ever default. Complete lack of leadership on his part and just shows he's more a Mafia Don than our CIC.

How many Senators would vote to fund the NIH and National Parks via the bills already passed by the House? Oh..that's right, Harry won't bring it to a vote. Are you upset about that?

Barry talks with Iran before Republicans.
He relates to servitude and complacency.

Trust that number if you like, I take it with a grain of salt. CNN is part of the same shill media that didn't ask a single ObamaCare rollout question in one of Obama's very rare press conferences. They have an agenda here to put the pressure on the GOP, even though it appears to be mostly in the other direction right now.

Not that they would have asked anything more relevant then "How is Michelle handling not being able to take her pals on an Asian vacation at taxpayer expense due to those irresponsible Republicans holding your trip hostage?" but I do not believe any TV reporters were allowed to ask questions, only the compliant ones hand picked by Carney.

Why is something like this dependent on one person calling for a vote? Our ridiculous government never ceases to amaze me.

Maybe, but where can any truth be found besides the truth that republicans have gone off the reservation?

Right, no Dem blame at all right? It's all the bad republicans against the "clean as the driven snow" Democrats.

How do you figure it's a lie, out of curiosity? It looks like it's based on reaching out to the members themselves.

If the votes are there to fund the NIH that should be passed too. I am on record over a long period of time, I am not a Harry Reid can either. But that bill is irrelevant if the other vote (on a CR funding number Boehner requested) is called. The CR is the root issue - Boehner agreed to it months ago, the senate agreed to his number, the votes are there and he won't bring it to a vote. Does that make any sense?

The article is now on CNN, can't link it from my phone. But it has the name of every republican house member who supports it, with attributions.

Why should we vote for whatever department Ted Cruz deems worthy of funding today instead of the whole thing? First, it was the national parks. Then it was pointed out how stupid it was to fund national parks while cancer patients couldn't get into medical trials. Then it was NIH. Then it was pointed out that military families won't be getting the immediate aid to help with funerals for family members killed. So next it will be that. Then the entire VA. Then Fish and Wildlife (already have the story up for that department today). Then....

Why not skip the middle man of needing it to get into the newspaper before funding it and just fund the government, which does have the votes?

Obama stated an increase in the debt ceiling was unpatriotic. Do his current actions, inactions, and spending that resulted in an $8 trillion increase in the national debt make sense in the context of his previous statement?

Why sustain the behavior of an irresponsible failure ..... who's driven this nation to the brink of financial calamity? That surely doesn't make any sense ... even to those who didn't see through Obama's lies when they decided to vote for this guy ... but now have the chance to "change" their minds and support .... and "hope" for a future that doesn't include economic chaos.

Because there was at least one member to claim he has no idea how his name appeared on that yes vote.

Not saying that brotha, but it's pretty clear where the crack up is occurring and it's not on the left right now, even if some folks want to try to be willfully blind about it.

Heck, as the thread I just posted reflects, some conservatives--albeit a few that are more reasonable and honest than the ones in congress and more than a few on here--are calling out the craziness of current congressional republicans.

If you read the article they already backed out the folks that have claimed they were misquoted.

Well that's your take after listening to Al Sharpton, Harry, Barry, and their ilk.

Anyway ... Harry and Barry could have resolved this entire minor mess last week .... and chose not to. So ... now we live with their continuing failures.
