....biting lip.... biting lip....
He (you know who) needs his own thread.
It wouldn't be a shocker if we missed on some of those many think we get and pull a couple that seem like reaches. J.C. Jackson and Carter are good examples: Oaktown had a good take on why we might get Carter; at least Jackson's family is on our side and we might feel differently about him were it not for the history with Cook and Lane.
Happy line... or all negative all the time has a huge gap in between.
I don't expect all five stars and next year we will list all the three stars as Gators and include them on our depth chart.
On signing day we get Gators and that is my happy line.
This will be a very nice class no matter what happens. I don't mind the ad hominem attacks, but if predicting Prince to PSU or Jackson to USC is "all negative all the time" I just hope everyone keeps their perspective and remains happy with the class we already have.
Now you're just trolling...
That's all he does. Internet creates avenues for peeps like that.
Worton sounds more and more like he's coming to florida, and he's tweeting Rudolph about it too. Sounds like he and Rudolph are friends...
I guess we'd take them both if they wanted to come
ehh would there be room for mckenzie?
I'd be happy if we got 4 more quality receivers this year. Especially after last year's results.
i cant understand why our recievers sucked so hard last year because they all seem like good players
I can't either, but It's clear that all of our receiver positions are wide open...
I really hope that we are able to keep JC in the fold as he could help at either CB or WR (most likely CB with Roberson and Purifoy leaving).
As for Adoree, he basically said that he has shut down his involvement in the recruiting process and would let hisfamily deal with everything as he turned his focus to track season. That helps us out in my mind, as Adoree's parent's aren't SOCAL people, they have no connection to USC at all. He is Gator-bound in my mind.
^I wish I had the link, but those of you who have read my posts and know me, know that I do my best not to lie on here, and don't make up my info.
No worries, its been well documented Adoree's parents are taking over so he can focus on winning another track championship. JC wants to play corner, that may be the deciding factor IMO. Every nole iv talked too says they will plug him in at WR. I think we are a better situation for JC in every facet. If fsu wasn't the flavor of the month his commitment wouldn't even be in question.
I fear we have too many plan Bs on our roster.
What's your take on Robinson, Bailey, and Fulwood?
Going by ESPN ratings:
Dunbar was 79 rating. Offers from Arky, Purdue, Miami, UCF and WVU.
Trey Burton was 79 rating. Offers from FSU, Miami and WVU.
Patton was 81 rating. Offers from Bama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Southern Miss.
Those were the guys we relied on most last year. Patton was not surprisingly the most effective. I think for our program it is probably fair to call anyone below an 80, a "plan B"... although Burton was a leader from the time the class was coming together and all the way through.
Other guys on the roster last year:
Debose was 85 rating. Offers from FSU, Miami, UGA, LSU.
Pittman was 80 rating. Offers from Bama, UGA, FSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, USF.
Andrade not listed on ESPN.
DRob was 86 rating. Offers from the entire free world.
Fulwood was 84 rating. Offers from the entire free world... except Greenland.
Hawkins was 83 rating. Offers from all the big SEC schools, FSU, Clemson, Sooners and more.
Bailey was 84 rating. Offers from all the big SEC schools (except Bama), all the big ACC & Big 10, schools, Sooners and more.
Thompson was 77 rating. Offers from FAU, Marshall, UMass, Utah.
Basically, our highest rated guys were either true frosh or injured. Our frosh (upcoming sophomores or RFRs) are definitely not plan Bs, except for Thompson, who is quite fast and has some upside. He actually got on the field before Hawkins or Bailey last year.
We appear to have some more highly rated guys coming in. Fingers crossed.
Sousa - 81; offers from FSU, Mizzou, UCLA, Rutgers, Wake, more.
Stephens - 82; offers from FSU, Miami, Arky, Climpson, UGA, tOSU, more.
Porter - 74; offers from Miami, USF, Iowa State.
McKenzie - 81 (s/b higher IMO - is much higher on 247); offers from Notre Dame, Michigan, Wiscy, Oregon, Ole Miss, BC, more.
Adoree - 91 (fingers crossed); offers coming in from other solar systems.
Worton - 79; offers from FSU, Miami, tOSU, Ole Miss, WVU, more.
Rudolph? - 84; offers from FSU, tOSU, Bama, Auburn, UGA, UTk, Climpson, Miami, Oregon, Nebraska, more.
You have to do more than run the ball and punt for recievers to shine.
It is great we have a new direction on O so they can shine.
There ya have it......
