Wouldn't look for him to play next game. As far as the rest goes I don't know.

He has had a couple weeks of practice, if we are up towards the end of the game why wouldn't he play?

A couple of weeks of practice isn't enough to learn the offenses and defenses he'll be required to know. Also, this may be the third game of the rumored 2-3 game suspension for the unofficial trip to Kansas paid for by an AAU coach. If we're up big and he's eligible, I'm with you......sure wouldn't mind seeing him get some minutes late in the game to (hopefully) accelerate his development.

From everything Billy had to say on the matter I don't think it's going to be anytime soon.

I would be surprised if the Savannah State game is close by halftime. If the suspension was only 2 games and with tougher home games coming up (Richmond and USC), why not give the kid an opportunity to debut in front of the home folks with some serious minutes

Best guess is the Richmond game.

From what I understand it's the NCAA thing to do with multiple game suspensions.

This continually gets raised, as if Donovan is in on some sort of plot to keep us from seeing Walker play. For the record, a 2-3 game suspension was rumored, so it is entirely likely that his absence may reflect the third of those three games. If for some reason Walker were eligible and he had at least progressed to the point that when we call out a set, he had some basic notion of what he was supposed to do, then I am sure he would play. But it is kind of hard to do anything, and can ultimately be unfair to the other kids on the court, if you toss a kid out there who simply doesn't know what he is supposed to do yet. Walker will barely have two weeks worth of practice coming into Sunday's game. I suspect he could at least play a handful of minutes to get his feet wet, but that is without having any clue whether he is eligible or what is happening in practice.

    Good points, as usual rserina.

Patience is a great virtue. Everyone should be well aware of this, or, at least, those who delayed their gratification until after Christmas.

Since we didn't see him on the bench in the Memphis or Fresno St. game - even though he is practicing - he's probably serving a suspension. And since he hasn't been at school or with the team, it's not a Coaching related suspension. My guess is we see him suited up next year!!

This is the nice thing about having a coach that you trust. You know that Billy will make the best decision for the team and the player, regardless.

I'm sure we'll see Chris soon enough and he'll be ready when he sees his first minutes.
