per his twitter
per TOS, he is 225 lbs now
That's a good sign, both for him and next year's team.
I've been telling ya'll By the time the season starts and b-ball conditioning is over, he'll be a solid 230 throughout the season. The bball team is going to be lean, strong and mean next season. Teddy keeps telling MFII that he's a physical clone of D-Wade at 6'4" and 210 lbs of lean muscle . . . we're going to be working with him on some explosive exercises to get his head dialed in on playing that way and powering through defenders off the dribble. Preston is a great S&C coach - building upon the physical foundation these guys are getting with the S&C program, the ability to play with explosiveness, power and dominance is both a mindset and a muscle group that can and does need to be developed like any other muscle and mentality. You guys are going to be impressed with how this team looks and plays next season!
Can't wait for next season!
I think Walker could get to 235 and hold it for next season. 10 lbs is not really out of reach with 4 more good months of solid training without losing any explosiveness. Egbunu and Walker are gonna have some battles in practice this year.
It is a contract year for Chris, he will be ready, trust me
Please don't go....Chris.
I hope his bulking up doesn't disrupt his beautiful shooting motion...
You got that right. Super psyched to see supersized CW getting extended minutes and achieving his potential.
Maybe it's just me, but that picture is deceiving. The before shot is further away, while the after is closer. Anybody else notice that?
Thanks Osiris - it looks to me like Walker has a long way to go to be Center material, but if he is 230-235 lbs he can play center given his speed.
Interesting about Frazier.
Could be a very good team next year, especially if Carter recovers and regains his former skillset.
I love Frazier, but wade? Not even close.
Maybe someone picked up his ball marker and he lost his spot You can clearly see the muscle development, notwithstanding the distance to the camera. These photos are almost always taken after a few pump sets when you look your biggest & strongest. It's all in fun
Lol ok, I guess not. Obviously just me.
Nope it's not, he's pretty clearly about 2 feet closer to the camera in the second shot.
I don't think so. Using Occam's Razor, the more likely explanation is Walker's entire body has grown by about 30% since the first picture was taken. For example, if you look at the background, everything is the exact same size. The only thing that's different is Walker.... by about 30%. Thus, if you figure he was 6'10" 200 lbs with a 7'1.5" wingspan in December, that makes him approximately 8'9" 260 with a 9'3" wingspan in the second picture. You guys always overcomplicate things with this distance and angles stuff. Trust your eyes and common sense. Glad I could help.
Excellent clarification of what we're seeing here, thanks Osiris!
It is quite possible to use "tricks" to make things appear larger or smaller than they actually are (see, for example, the addenda to the Extended version of Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," for how they accomplish this in that film, but OSIRIS is, as usual, quite correct in that one should assume that one's eyes are working correctly if one takes into account surroundings that aren't artificially altered as they frequently are in videos.
Exactly. It's not like this was worked over by Weta Digital (did VFX for Avatar). It's a snapshot from the practice facility.
Also, rumor has it Walker's eyeballs are the size of tennis balls now. His fingers are the size of plantains.
