I don't see this as a Scottie vs. Hill deal. I see this as a Scottie + Hill equation. Interesting to see what it equals.

I look at our roster this way:
Most coaches have nightmares about our situation right now.
All have wet dreams about our situation come March.

All around of course. But in terms of just passing, Hill has a 4.5 ass/TO and Wilbekin a 2.4. Both are good passers, but Wilbekin seems to get lost sometimes. He did it three times in the UConn game. Drove in and didn't make a decision. Now shooting, defense(2nd best defending PG behind Craft), Leadership...he's got Hill beat every other place. But passing, I think Hill has more court awareness.

But really it's just tossing out eye test and it's whatever...both are great players and I'm happy as heck to have both of them on our sideline, and not the opponents.

Hill might be better, but when you go back to the title teams, you skip a player that was a better pure passer than anybody on those rosters. The guy has been known to drop some jaws as well.

Definitely not just you. A lot of people harbor negative feelings towards the guy. I just don't want that to taint our views of him as a player. He was pretty amazing on the court.

This is the best ball handler and passer we've ever had.

Very true. Once both are healthy, they will share the court probably half the game and those will become our most successful groupings. What we lack now in terms of floor spacing for post feeds and driving lanes will open up appreciably because a Wilbekin/Hill pairing will mean more Frazier/D. Walker at the three, more Prather at the four, DFS exclusively at the four, and less of the Young/Yeguete tandem. This furthermore should help our middling perimeter shooting right now because Wilbekin is much better shooting off the ball (which we can do next to Hill) than on it, meaning we can put 2-3 legitimate shooters out on the floor at a time, while Hill and Prather will have more space to operate on penetration to the basket, in turn opening ball rotation on the perimeter.

Defense is still half the game and Scottie is a much better defender.

I think it is an opinion. I thought T. Green could handle the rock pretty good if you ask me personally. I will take K. Hill so far because his potential is through the roof. Just wait until he comes into his own this season.

It wasn't just Nick, those teams just didn't have a lot of chemistry together on the court, and an overall lack of size (Tyus at the 5, anyone?). Still, the all-time UF assists leader in just two seasons? He definitely belongs in the conversation as our best passer. Imagine if he was on some of our more talented teams over the years...there would probably be a different perception of him around here.

No more travels than in the game today. The three step jump stop where you land on separate legs for 2 and 3 very rarely gets called today. It drives me crazy. We can thank the NBA for that.

Hill has no chemisty with the team besides Walker and still has a 4.5 ast/turn ratio. This guy was so hyped for a reason, because his vision is simply incredible. He wasn't a five star because he is an incredible scorer, it's because he is a great true point.

Agreed. Plus Hill actually only played against 1 real team out of the 4 he played. 2 out of 3 were challenging that SW played in.
I'd say neither has hit their stride yet, can't wait till teams get no breaks from them pushing the ball.

agreed 100% - watching him live at the O'Dome is still some of the greatest PG play I've ever seen.
