You're right nothing there to learn. Good thing the Europeans didn't feel that way when it came to coming to the Americas. Because after Columbus came here the first time it was all over... Nothing more to do..

But on the same token, why are we going to mars? Because we haven't been there?

You'd be surprised to see just how many spinoffs (technological and scientific) came from us going to the moon...

You really didn't just make that comparison now did you? There a bit of difference there is you would like to think about it a bit.

I don't think we are going to Mars anytime soon either. Lots of obstacles to overcome before that is feasible.

The Chinese will get to Mars before anybody else does. It's the tortoise and the hare all over again. I seriously wonder if the USA will ever have another manned launch again. Our paranoid government is too busy filling the air with drones to spy on people and blow up wedding processions to worry about such nagging evolutionary concepts as exploration.

don't believe it. its all fake. Look at those computers, its like they are out of the sixties. And whats up with that red phone?

If they are stealing our tech it must be all the tech from the sixties and earlier.

Chinese - just getting to the moon- check
just built their first carrier (refurbished ship) check

surprised that red phone is not a rotary.....

If the goal is to land a human on Mars regardless of what happens to it, then yes. If the goal is to land one successfully, have him survive, and more than likely return to Earth then I say probably not.

I think they pick the technology up cheap at a NASA garage sale. :)

In the 90s I flew from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan on a Soviet-built small jet airliner. I did not see one piece of plastic on the plane. Metal, wood, and cloth. I also visited Ukraine around the same time. Saw electrical wires that were wrapped in paper and lacquered instead of a plastic sheath.

I can't speak for Coco, but the Moon landing hoax theories are among a small minority of conspiracy theories that I dismiss out of hand, reason being the government has better evidence to support its claims. Most of the hoaxers' evidence is manufactured and distorted from the Hasselblads and TV footage.

while I think space exploration and technology are important-you have to have the money to do it and we do not
