Nobody even paid attention to the "monkey". As far as the distraction part of that trick play, it was a complete failure.

Even if they did, my takeaway was the part where they have a 6'11" TE. That's going to guarantee success on a lot of plays.

I've often wondered why more basketball-sized guys aren't recruited to play WR just for jump balls. If we had a 6'10" receiver your options to stop jump balls are basically limited to pass interference.

I mean, you could give the guy one route - the 5 yard curl-and-jump.

Exactly, that was stupid play and would only work in HS with a huge TE. Not even Les Miles would run that play.

I like the creativity of it...really out of the box...notice the receiver to the right..all by himself. Maybe stupid but that team has what we currently are defunct of....options!

I actually have said that we need a lot more gimmicks this year, because we lack the ability to block at the LOS. We're unable to keep defenses offguard with either passing or running or play action.

I'd love to see Tyler and Trey in the shotgun, honestly.

Yeah the TD was the worst part.

Who wants TD's when you can have FG's!

    It was a 2-pt conversion I think.

Wide open out to the right. Passer threw it to the wrong guy, but they got away with it.

Maybe it's because they saw that 6'8" or whatever WR FSU had a couple years ago try to catch a pass.

There was a basketball play like this a few years ago. The team was trying to inbound the ball with a couple seconds left under their own basket and they had a kid run over to the side, get down on all fours, and start barking. It worked, too.
