Charlie sucks, but Kansas doesn't do well under anyone.

Looks like this guy's 5* rating out of HS wasn't really worthy of his college potential. Bust in the making. Booo U.

I'm not sure Charlie is really losing on this one. Heaps has struggled everywhere and ran looking for greener pastures only to run again. Sounds perfect for the WHO!

How ironic that UM needs a QB and is getting one from Charlie. UM would have Jacoby Brissette if Charlie hadn't talked him into being a Gator instead.

Yeah, not sure Kansas is losing much of anything; after reading about Heaps losing out on starting and backup jobs to less-heralded QB's from different classes I'm not even sure he'll start at Miami either... might've been better off dropping a division if he wanted guaranteed PT.

We'll see. Wouldn't you love to see Brissette lead the Wolfpack to victories over both FSU and UM? (I'd settle for FSU.)

Not to hijack the thread, but he will. Jacoby is a good QB. I'm not sure why some on this board doubt that.

Will the u ever get back to their status from the 80's? It seems like forever since they've been relevant.

Probably be tough. I happened to catch the 30 for 30 on them the other day; and they really didn't have any real fan support in their heyday, either.

But what they did have was a lot of city support until they really got out of control and became an embarrassment; they also had a lot of illegal financial support that they can no longer get away with so easily.

When they were independent and then in a really lame conference their scheduling afforded them some pretty easy paths with only a couple noteworthy opponents every year; even some of the power programs that should have been stout were down and not really competitive during many of the years.

Since 2004, when they joined the ACC, which is still a pretty lame conference (probably the weakest of the Big 5), they haven't accomplished a thing.

They were pretty relevant back on the 2nd Saturday of last season... unfortunately

Not holding my breath that NC State is about to become a powerhouse this season.
