With the year the Gators are having and all the key injuries, this maybe a stretch against an experienced FSU team. However, the Gators do have some quality players on offense and a quality secondary. I'd say 35-20% chance on paper (best and worst case). It would have to be a close one and we will need to play sound D and run a whole lot. We would have to stop the run and the deep ball against FSU, which we have struggled as of late. OL has been showing up as of late, and with Murphy they have been passing down field more (based on one game - Vandy). We have no chance if Murphy and Humphries are no goes, but I expect them to play tho. Would love to see that upset and ruin FSUs season again.

Well we just took a top 12 team to the wire, so not as bad as we thought.

A win? I'll say 10% chance. The bulk of the team that beat FSU last year is playing on Sundays or is in some sort of a cast.

According to the majority of this board, 0.

But thankfully the players themselves have a say in the game :)

    I'd say maybe a 20% chance imo.

As OBOB stated, I say 10 percent is about right. And that is at the high end of optimistic. I really do think we would have to be in the plus 5 or 6 turnover range to get a win.

This would probably be one of the biggest upsets in the series history if we were to pull it off.

It will come down to us stopping the run IMO. If we an run on USC we should be able to run on FSU but they have two weeks to prepare for us. I think we need Tyler back too.

Starting QB is definitely a big key here. I don't think we can win with Skylar unless we somehow have a repeat of the LSU game last year with running the ball

I'm as optimistic as anyone, and you never know - but I think we would need a defensive TD or two. I'm not trying to be clever, just realistic. I'm not sure FSU has seen a defense as athletic as ours, but their defense has been pretty dang impressive too.

We have issues generating a pass rush with our front four, and our defensive backs have had some difficulty making plays on the ball - even when in decent position. That's a pretty scary thought considering how well FSU is playing on that side of the ball.

Offensively, well we needn't beat that dead horse anymore.

Offensively I don't think we have a chance with Skylar throwing it. Mack and Taylor will need the game of their lives

Run the ball, stop the run, limit mistakes. It's that simple.

If only. I think we need 4 turnovers in their territory at least. Probably a defensive score or two. FSU is playing against a M.A.S.H. unit here. We need to play darn near perfect. Can we win? Of course. Will we? I hope, but I seriously doubt it.

Don't know the percentsges but we will need

2 turnovers that gives us a short field

    More than 21 points

    150 yards or more running

Mature and discipline football w/a low number of penalties

Last I checked the score starts at 0-0 for both teams. It's in our house. Beating Fsu is what we do... All. The. Time.

    Let's get it on punks

Honestly, I think we need a 100% healthy Murphy having the best game of the season along with the D forcing 3 turnovers and getting 17 points off of those. Add those 17 points to the usual 17 that we normally average and I think 34 will get it done. Chances of that happening? I agree with some others... Maybe 1 in every 10 games?

Never rationalize a rivalry game, anything is possible. RoPo had a pretty decent USCe game. If he and Fowler get "that look" and the rest of the D supplements it with run gap control, sound tackling and DB play, we can win it. And the O can't go into the "not lose" mode.

I think our D, even injured, is better that any they have faced in the Girl Conference schedule. I'd give it 20% but thats the most. The secondary in particular needs to have Jameis pouting as they run the other way with the ball:yes:
