What do you mean two easy TDs? They made 1 mistake and gave up a big play. It happens. Other than that they gave up a TD on a short field (50 yards after Jones' fumble) and Miami made us pay. Morris made a great throw to the corner of the end zone. We covered it well but they beat us. Nothing wrong with that. And the final TD was a drive under ten yards. Not the defense's fault at all.

Maybe if the offense wasn't such a liability the D would have only given up 7 the whole game. The D made ONE big mistake, the offense made FIVE.

If we lost 3-0 would that mean the defense "cost us the game" (in your words) by giving up that field goal? Just like its the defense's job to hold our opponents to less than we score, its the offense's job to outscore the opponent. The defense played well enough for us to win easily.

If the defense plays to potential, then the first 14 points are maybe three points.

Champ knows that, and expects that from these guys. And I bet they expect it too.

It's not that they didn't play very well... but that they can play even better, and win games for us, even when our offense is a turn over machine.

6 - I call going for it on 4th down inside the 20 a mistake too.
