I still can't get over during one of our red-zone possessions, it was 3rd and 3, then they called our 2nd timeout in the 2nd half to talk things over to make sure the play was right because it was a critical drive, then it resulted in JD throwing an INT.

That basically summarized our luck today and what cards were being dealt to us.

Keeps trotting out the same TE who can't get open or catch the ball too. We should just play without a TE because that entire group is worthless.

That's our QB, he HAS to be trusted to make plays, there's no other option

Calling our players "worthless" accomplishes nothing here.

Honestly there are a number of people here who just really need to take a break from this board for the rest of the night.

The one thing he copped to and I agree with is that the QB play was bad in the RZ. Going back over the game, I agree, any coach/system that engineers six trips into the red zone is doing the right thing. Five turnovers (one on downs) in the red zone is on the players executing.

He also stated outright that Driskel had the ability to check out of the sneak on 4th and 1.

Also said would go for 2 again in that situation just wasn't executed properly (missed block). Again, I agree.

My biggest thing with Champ is personnel groupings. Clay Burton is not showing enough upside to merit promotion over Thompson/ Taylor. Jones is favored for reasons I haven't seen on the field. Demarcus came OFF THE FIELD before our most crucial play (Driskel's last sack fumble).

There are plays Jones/Brown don't make that it seems Taylor/Herndon would (making reads in our blocking schemes).

If Jeff gets even marginally better the skies the limit. Thankfully he has TWO WEEKS to watch himself throw silly picks and take bad sacks on repeat

    Sad, but true.

I imagine the conversation between JF and WM will go something like this...

Will, your job is not in jeopardy at this time. But, the product you're putting on the field is starting to cost me money. If it ends up costing you recruits, that is likely going to cost me more money. And if I keep losing money, then your job will be in jeopardy.

He looked totally defeated, like he had no answers. this is not reassuring, I love coach Muschamp but he needs to sit some guys for all the penalties and mistakes or he will lose this team.

Did he really say that??? That's a Yogi Berra-ism.

I take it back, Muschamp is better at Berra-isms that Berra himself.

I understand him wanting to be "lil bama" but until we have the OL to do it, we are wasting our time. I am a former OL myself and we just don't have the Oline to do what he's wanting to do. Nothing against our oline but I am being honest here.

As much as we want to be like Bama they can throw the ball really good too and they play with discipline, no penalties.

When your power game gets 2 yards per carry, it isn't a power game. We don't have offensive linemen who can blow people off the blocks and our backs aren't very strong...yet. It's going to take half the season before Matt Jones returns to pre-virus form.

From watching Bama in their first gave vs VTech, they appeared to be wasting their time as well ... Bama's OL is not up to Bama standards at the moment.

Just look at the stats for the game. And look at receivers getting separation.

Then look at QB performance. The throws where guys had to stop, reverse, etc. just to catch the ball. The holding on to it too long, etc.

I'm glad Muschamp didn't single out Driskel, but he's the only one that won't.

It was actually 2.8 yds per carry and the yards were powerful enough that we can safely round it up to 3.0 yds per carry, but your point is sadly true nonetheless.

I watched the presser and Champ looked disgusted. I don't know what to think about our offense. It hasn't looked like a UF offense in some yrs now. You did see that Muschamp did lay some of the blame at Driskel and his decision making and ability to not give the ball away.

Hard to give 100% of the blame to the coaches for the turnovers. However, they need to keep the opposing team off balance by playing to Jeff's strengths. His pocket presence is non-existent so he needs more rollouts, screens, quick timing routes, or zone-read plays until he is ready to take 5 step drop and go through multiple progressions.

The coaches do deserve most of the blame for the horrid clock management throughout the game. The series at the end was horrid. We had no sense of urgency or awareness of the situation and clock.

The coaches get the blame on the personnel decisions for the TE position as well. Clay is not a catching TE. The coaches are either unable to develop a decent TE or whiffed on evaluating these 4 star guys at the TE positions.

We had over 400 yards on offense and you're complaining about... what?
