I think the NIH released a study last summer confirming that running it up the middle on first down is reponsible for far more misery in our society than is marijuana. ADs need to get up to date on these issues.

In other words, Edwards would have been perfectly content with keeping his mouth shut if Pelini was winning more games. He obviously waited until the drug use could be used as an excuse to get rid of him. Nobody in this picture took the high road. On second thought, I guess Pelini did.:ninja:

Has Edwards sealed his coaching fate? Ratting out your head coach does not bode well for future job interviews.

He better win at FAU because it could be his last job.

I don't think ratting somebody out for recreational drug use will get you blacklisted in the coaching business. There are plenty of coaches who have nothing to hide in this regard.

    Still seems petty.

Maryjane is legal for recreational use in Colorado. This seems petty. But if his rules for the players said it was against the rules for his team, then this was pretty stupid. If he has kids, is this what he wants them to know about him. Would Obama Care allow him to be a user? All in all, pretty dumb!

I agree, it is. I don't think it's going to do much damage to his future in coaching, though. If PED's had been involved, it would be a different story. It's all about the culture.
