Can we keep Muschamp and fire a bunch of 'fans'?

Saban is able to COMPETE for MNCs. He was fortunate to play in two of the three MNC games. Luck and circumstances could have kept him out of the MNC games, as it did Auburn in 2004.

We still appear unprepared and unimaginitive on offense.

I would argue he was extremely lucky to be able to play for the NC the last two years.

Funny how Saban has way more luck than any other coach in the country.

He got a rematch even though he lost at home and Okie St had a better resume.

Florida arguably had a more impressive regular season then Bama did last year. One got to play for the NC and one got to play in a meaningless Sugar Bowl.
Exactly what was different about Florida and Bama's seasons?
I think you could also argue that Oregon had as good if not better season than Bama.

That's way too late. They need to play significant minutes in 2014. :)

11-2 was a facade. You cannot expect to win consistently with Musczook's philosophy. The people who like Mischamp think the fans who want him gone are wrong and vice versa. No surprise here.

Alabama was competent on both sides of the ball. And because of that they are not living on last year's laurels, they are right in the hunt again.

I'm not calling for WM's head (your point about Fulmer is well-taken). And I'm not shocked that it was a bad game for UF. Given the anemic performance of the offense in the LSU game I expected something similar against Mizzou.

What shocked me was that Mizzou's freshman QB who was starting his first college game, while replacing an injured starter, was able to play so well (295 yards passing, three completions longer than 37 yards, etc.). Franklin was a great QB, Mauk replaced him and Mizzou hardly missed a beat.

The point is that injuries certainly can cause a team to have a bad game as you point out but they don't necessarily have to. Injuries are a part of football. It's the responsibility of the coaches to recruit good players and develop them so that they're ready to replace an injured starter.

Mizzou obviously did that very well. UF?

All of those schools, except UT, Texas A&M and Auburn, should expect 10 wins a season minimum. Of those listed, only Bama, OSU and Texas pay over $5m and I would say it is reasonable for them to expect a conference title every other year. Other programs paying in the $5m range are LSU and Oklahoma, and I believe it is reasonable for them to expect the same.

My point is simply I am sick of being told that Muschamp is great and having my point of view dumped on. Why can't each side of this argument make there point without being told by the other that they are an idiot or don't know what they are talking about.

Except for Florida and FSU every team in D1 has had at least on losing season since 1979. FSU achieved that in a women's bathroom while UF did it in the SEC. That's an amazing run but sooner or later the law of averages catches everyone. Having lived through 6-5 and worse seasons as a Florida fan I just don't see it as the end of the world. If you started following UF after 1990 I can see why you'd think Armageddon is near, but it's not.

Who can forget Jacoby Brisset relieving an injured Jeff Driskel to rally Florida for a thrilling victory over LA-Lafayette 27-20.

Mizzou was 5-7 last year because of injuries because they have no depth. And there best recruiting class in the last 25 yrs. was ranked 27th. So even with our injuries their 2-3 star linemen beat our 3 and 4 star lineman. Why coaching!!!

Did you read the pre-game before the Missouri-Florida game? I decided to at the last minute.

Maty Mauk (6'1 200) was a hot-shot recruit from Ohio who recorded something like 19,000+ yards passing, 200+ TDs, and in his senior year posted Tebowish numbers (5000+ yards passing and 1200+ yards rushing).

When I read that, I thought uh-oh, Florida is in big trouble!

Missouri's defense overall was pretty good as well and capable. That whole Missouri team was well coached!

That 13-game streak of Muschamp's Florida team holding SEC opponents to under 20 points was shattered. In the previous game, LSU could have topped 20 points also if they wanted to.
