His confidence level has grown each game. No way in the first couple of games this year he would have even attempted either of those plays.

He has a real good feel for the game. Very pleasant surprise.

The kid shows that even if you aren't fast or skilled, you can contribute on the court if you keep moving your feet and don't concede rebounds.

We have one player on our team who doesn't seem interested in using his scholarship in the Spring semester while Kurtz has done everything asked of him

I hope I'm wrong but think getting much from Walker is dream. You just don't learn BD's system in a couple weeks.

Bottom line: He gave us quality minutes in a huge game last night. Great story. Can't wait for him to get a scholarship.

Hey, man, you don't talk to the Colonel. You listen to him. The man's enlarged my mind. He's a poet-warrior in the classic sense. I mean, sometimes he'll, uh, well, you'll say hello to him, right? And he'll just walk right by you, and he won't even notice you. And suddenly he'll grab you, and he'll throw you in a corner, and he'll say "Do you know that 'if' is the middle word in life? 'If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, if you can trust yourself when all men doubt you'..." I mean, I'm no, I can't – I'm a little man, I'm a little man, he's, he's a great man. "I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas"

Last night he was the difference. Can you imagine the bigs on FSU seeing the stats on Jake. He works hard and that is half the game of basketball. Remember the tortise and the hare story. He has a pretty good offensive game around the boards. I don't know if he could hit three because they aren't asking him to do it. But you have to love what he is giving us. In the first half, when he came in the game turn in our favor. As to the guy on here who knows him, he is not Julius Randle, but I like what I see.

Scholarships are annual agreements. Odds are you can't drop a kid in mid-year. He can get booted off the team, but you probably can't take his scholarship and give it to someone else.

This year's Gators are extremely fortunate to have this young man on board.

He is a real credit to humanity, and he plays basketball very well, overcoming his physical limitations.

Jacob has been playing very well. I am probably his biggest fan. I am extremely happy for him and love it.

But at the game I was hearing stuff from guys around me that he was better than PY because he had more points. I just had to shake my head.
