Obama could learn something from a wise Republican. Unfortunately he was mentored by terrorists, thugs, socialists and commies:

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves."

    Abraham Lincoln

And that is his problem. Unfortunately he has spread his doctrine to other nogginhead elected officials who will in turn poison their own economies.

River, what is about those on the left that needs a famous name on a quote for it to hold any weight? Re whether it was Lincoln or Wilf Homenuik, is the message right or wrong. I suppose if we attributed those words to Franklin Roosevelt they would be correct? Or Alec Baldwin? Or Barbara Streisand?

Read the words River. Re read. Absorb. Think about what is said.

Just a suggestion, rather than pull a quote from some rightwing blog, spend five seconds to look it up before you post it.
    Not hard.
As far as the words, of course they're valid. Duh.

There was a reason behind us deleting threads which quoted chain emails or blogs with no research. This is a prime example.
