Wow!! That is good stuff about the conservative ideology. Would be interesting if one of the liberal posters did a corresponding piece about what people on the other side of the political spectrum believe. :)

I don't know why people think that being "the most" rational or logical is less utopian. Classic dystopias are the result of reason & logic run amok, not emotion and sensitivity.

You buried him in so much logic it may take him awhile to dig his way out.

It has been proven that liberals have larger reasoning centers in the brain than conservatives. Conservatives have larger amygdalas which produce emotional reactions.

That's why Limbaugh, Fox and the like make a living stimulating oversized amygdalas. It's all about bumper sticker level jolts of outrage that conservatives live for. It's also why they hate when facts are proffered to counteract one of these talking points of puffed up outrage.

I think that depends on who is posting on any given day.

More broadly, you're always gonna see more emotional posting from the "side" that doesn't control the WH. No doubt there has been plenty of anti-Obama emotion on TH, but I don't think it's significantly worse than what we saw from lefty posters (many of whom are no longer with us) during W's term.

Just look at Vertigo's post above. If that's not rabble(emotional appeal) raising Saul Alinsky bashing:" Plutocracy" after all those progressive reforms:income tax,FDA,HUD ;Popular election of senators Fanny and Freddy ;EPA ,Womens suffrage,18year old voters;SNAP,disability;free phones , Obamacare;etc.

I don't think broad ad hominem attacks are considered "logical" or factual either, FWIW.

I think calling someone "emotional" is simply a way to feminize the opposition. It's almost always delivered from a position of insecurity to marginalize one's opponent. Emotion is for girls, logic is for tough guys, etc etc.

I can see some folks fitting that description very well. It's also a way to hide ignorance. Figure if you can bully and play tough guy with language, it will mask the lack of real knowledge

Yup, caring about stuff and people is only for overly emotional people.

    You probably meant drivel.

However, the answer to your question is "science."

This is just embarrassing, Fred. Just stop. It's just depressing that you really sincerely believe that.

Weren't we just talking about negative eugenics in another thread too?

And some white people said similar things 75 years ago about the black race. You're literally repeating almost the same thing white people said about blacks, except you're doing it in regards to political parties. It's just nuts, and honestly, kind of laughable.
