The Bracket matrix currently has us as a 7, which seems about right.

Give me a six now and I'll take my chances

I disagree.....our success is 100% dependent on specific matchups.

If there's ever a year where seeding doesn't matter tons, its this year. I'm not saying this because my team is destined for a questionable seed - more because most any of the "top" teams on any given night seem incredibly beatable by almost anybody. March will be fun!

That’s almost a Tom Petty lyric! Good omen, maybe?
    “The field is wide open”
    “Under Orange skies of Blue”
“Can Gators make when wide open?”
    “Gator fans haven’t a clue”

Exactly, all folks have to do is take a look at our last 4 games (At Tennessee, Vs Auburn, At Alabama, Vs Kentucky).

Did you see the last update? Moved up to should be in but interesting blurb:

    Florida (17-8, 8-4 SEC)
    (BPI: 31 | SOS: 19 | SOR: 27 | RPI: 43)

If you dislike close finishes, Florida is your team. Over the past four games, the Gators have lost by 12, lost by 18, won by nine and won by 24.

In beating that last opponent, South Carolina, Florida had the distinction of seeing no player score more than 12 points. The Gators are nothing if not balanced, with Chris Chiozza, Jalen Hudson, Egor Koulechov and KeVaughn Allen all carrying their fair share of the load on offense.

Their real strength, however, resides on defense, particularly on the interior. The Gators will bring their specialty to closing-stretch tests against, among others, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama and Kentucky to close the regular season.

CBS (Palm) has us with work to do and currently playing in Dayton as #11.

Good luck trying to figure out Florida. The Gators have actually done a good job against Q1 opponents, posting a 5-3 mark and with all five wins away from home against teams in the bracket. The problem for them is that they are 7-7 against Q2-3 and five of those losses have come at home. The Gators need a strong finish, but will have to do it in four Q1 games.

That lines up perfectly for the tourney. We won't be playing any of those games at home!

The Bubble is ridiculously weak. Changed the title to include possible bid steals and must wins.

WCC Championship - BYU vs Gonzaga

Gonzaga is in and St. Mary's is probably in as well. BYU win here would steal a bid from the bubble. I don't think it's very likely the way Gonzaga is playing, but it's March so anything is possible.

Notre Dame vs Pitt - No idea why Notre Dame is being talked about here, but apparently they have a chance. Need to beat Pitt and Va Tech at a minimum. I would think they need 1 more win, but this shows you how weak the bubble is this year.

Syracuse vs Wake Forest - Shocking that Syracuse is on the bubble again. Best non-conference win is home vs Buffalo. 2nd best is home vs Toledo. They beat Clemson at home. If they can beat Wake Forest, they play UNC. I think with the way the bubble is that could be enough (depending on how others do).

Based on record ND should be out of the picture, but the committee has made it clear that they take impact player availability into account and their best player, Bonzie Colson is back from a broken foot, so if they have a run in the ACCT, I guess they'll get the benefit.

They beat Wichita State with Bonzie, but also lost to Indiana and Ball State.

I think they would need to beat Va Tech and Duke to be in the conversation.

I think that should only come into play if it's close and at this point I don't think it is.

Saw some speculation on ESPN.com that St. Mary's is in a shaky situation after losing to BYU last night, but I find that hard to believe.

They probably don't deserve to be based on their resume, but they will end up in this year barring a ton of bubble teams going on big runs.

    5 best Wins:
    30 - R
    44 - H
    81 - R
    81 - H
    123 - N

    Bad Losses:
    138 - R
    168 - N

The link stays the same. That was early February, before our slide and then winning streak.
