That's why the Browns will be irrelevant for years to come. Good pickup by the Colts.

I actually understand the trade. Now the Browns have 2 first round picks in the upcoming draft. This will be a real good draft for QB's so they will be able to get a good one and you can always find a serviceable RB.

Great trade for Cleveland, should have never spent a top 10 pick on a back to begin with.

Colts "win" this trade today in public opinion because it's the regular season then the Browns will "win" draft day because 2 1st rounders

Pretty much sums it up. That Colts pick needs to be for a better player than Richardson though because they have already paid him a decent amount of money. That pick probably needs to be a WR and then they can get another RB in the 3rd round or sign one to a 1 or 2 year deal from free agency.

Browns with o - 2 start have indeed given up and are looking for the future. They will/should get a top pick qb wise, but the jags should have first choice.

Didn't Cleveland trade up to take TR at #3? Much like the Jags, no matter what Cleveland does they just never seem to get any better.

Found this gem by a Browns fan in response to the trade:

"Cleveland Browns Memorabilia Bonfire at my house tonight!"

    Too funny!

You don't think the Jags need a QB too?!

they're starting brian hoyer at QB and have no running game. they might finish with a worse record than the jags. If they get lucky they might end up with Teddy Bridgewater and Marquise Lee/Sammy Watkins

Glad to see that Trent was picked up by Indy. His run production should increase dramatically now that he has a QB.

Agree. He's my fantasy football RB and his a$$ would have been on the bench right now if there was anyone else worth picking up.

I wonder if Trent's mom would need to sell her nice home in Tuscaloosa in order to move and be closer to her son in Indy???

Rare in-season trade in the NFL.

Bad deal when you think of what they gave up to move to get him, but not otherwise, I don't think he's a world beating back waiting to happen.

Yea I don't buy Trent being this game changer at running back in the league. At Alabama he was running behind a stacked oline against inferior talent most week. The emmitt comparisons only come up because they went to the same high school. He's no emmitt. And don't give me that he has no qb or what not. Elite backs shine regardless. Look at Adrian Peterson he has Ponder for crying out loud and should have broke the single season yardage record. Same with Chris Johnson. If you're an elite rb you don't need an elite or even average qb to shine. End of story.

By trading RB Trent Richardson to Indianapolis, Browns now have two picks in 2014 draft in rounds 1, 3, 4. QB of future on the way..

I don't see how this is a good trade for the Browns. They are giving up on a top 5 talent that is just starting to scratch the surface. Didn't they just have a draft with 2 1st round picks? How did that work out? This is an organization in disarray. They better hope they end up in the top 2.

rather than trading alot of the picks to get a highly drafted QB, they should use them on multiple positions of need and bring in a veteran QB or find another teams quality back up and bring him in. I think that would go farther than going after just one home run pick.
