    The manly men are too busy sitting at home watching American Idol, America's Got Talent, and The Voice. They won't go see a live performance, but they're more than happy to sit at home and watch people sing and dance on TV?

    And I said "most" of those shows.... I love music,but I watch live concerts on Palladia and real musicians on other channels not posers.

    Honestly... I swear on my life. I do not watch any of those shows weekly. And only one of those shows more than two weeks in a row.

    Dramatic TV is just a substitute for live performance, the same way that the Gators on CBS is just a substitute for being at The Swamp. I'm sure the manliest of men never watch anything but sports and war documentaries, but normal manly men might watch something like The Walking Dead from time to time.

    It's data from 2011, most recent I could easily find. I know it's going out on a limb, but I suspect the average person's TV viewing and/or Broadway show watching habits hasn't changed too much in 2 1/2 years.
