We need competent, experienced and proven coaching.

Tim Tebow is none of the above.

As a coach, it would be a miserable move. As the director of a Gator for Life (I don't know what you have, if anything, similar to the VFL program at UT) he would be very positive and inspirational.

That was my idea! Bring back Tebow as the Strength and Conditioning Coach, and put him in charge of recruiting.

The proper top 5 thoughts for any Gator when rationally thinking about this:

    1. I love Tim
    2. He has no experience or educational training to be a Strength coach.
    3. He has ZERO coaching/recruiting experience
    4. I love Tim
    5. Make all decisions based on #2 and #3 only.

Hire him as a GA supporting S&C... he could help push guys to work their tails off as well as fire guys up for the beginning of games, and half times.

Tim still wants to play in the NFL, so this would basically be a symbolic move.

But we don't need icons, we need teachers.

    You're probably right wrt NFL.

But while TT may not be the right teacher from a football coaching perspective, I think he'd be a great teacher from a winning attitude and work ethic perspective. The guy is a huge positive influence on the people around him, and can probably mentor leadership as well as work ethic and attitude. All big pieces of any championship team.

    My .02.

He would be more than welcome on the UF sidelines if he proves himself highly competent in some coaching capacity.
