Have to wonder about the ramifications this will have on Mack Brown and whether Texas will ever join the SEC.
Is Mack Brown going to be AD and Head Coach? If so, will he ever fire himself? Discuss ...
No. He will be either fired or retire IMO.
This is the first step, Dodds was the biggest Mack supporter they have, also the one quoted as saying winning all the time is bad for players and fans.
Isn't he fighting with their "governor"?
I hear Bobby Bowden is available ...
This. Somewhat familiar to when Bernie Machen arrived. The handwriting is on the wall...
They sure got the money to sway him.If the NCAA strips them of the 2012 title and this year goes sour starting Sat.......You never know.
Bye bye Mack after the season is up
Since he's already familiar with abortions, Mack will be the next Governor of Texas. :jeez:
Powers and Brown are supposedly discussing his retirement. They want the big 12 commissioner Bowlsby as the new AD and have Shaw from Stanford as top priority. That's what the horn folk are saying.
That would be a great hire.
The football team is one problem but the law suit dealing with the former track coach is another problem
they will be cleaning house in austin this year and getting rid of all their overpaid dead wood. Hopefully, texas boosters throw huge money at saban to get him to leave alabama.
Makes since.....he wins a title with UT, then Jerry hires him.
Bama will probably buy a harbaugh brother if they need another coach. You don't think they would hire an unproven head coach or a coordinator do you?
Good. Maybe people will stop talking about Texas in the SEC if that happens. They'd come in here like they owned the place and start demanding concessions to their view of revenue sharing.
