    I love it.

Perhaps this will be the thing that finally pushes Saban back to the NFL, which would be a good thing for the rest of the SEC.

Perhaps, but not likely. Unless there is a money trail, nothing will come of it. And even if there is one, how does a player or two receiving money from a runner give them an on the field advantage. Using PEDs or falsifying grades are far bigger influences on the game.

It will be interesting to watch. FSU had to vacate a track NC for a lot less.

Personally, I'd say it was a lot more. Taking money is one thing. Fixing grades is something the NCAA SHOULD take very serious and is why UNC SHOULD get really hammered.

But NCAA does seem to not take cheating at grades as much as paying students.

Rules are still rules. I was told by the compliance office at UF that I couldn't buy a high school boy a sandwich at a track meet because I was a Gator booster, and he was being recruited by Meyer to play football. The rule may sound silly, but it's still a rule, not a suggestion.

No ones saying rules aren't rules. Its just obvious that some things are worse than others.

A player deciding (on his own) to take impermissible benefits is VERY different than a school having knowledge of and actively participating in cheating. This isn't debatable. The former can happen at absolutely any school. The latter requires corruption within the athletic department or the program itself.

nothing new here. he never answers questions that he doesn't want to answer. he literally will kick a reporter out and ban them the complex if they ask the same hard question more than once. he always says we not here to talk about so and so, we are here to talk about this. i am sure PIM could tell many stories about this. somebody said there isn't a bianchi to ask the tough questions in bama....that used to be f-baum. lol we now know how much he is up sabans butt

I dont' follow Saban that closely, but its hard for me to picture any coach having different answers than he gave in that clip. Coaches don't talk about this stuff.

Money trails are easy enough to create. Especially if someone has an axe to grind (see Shapiro vs Miami). In that case, the NCAA took the word of a convicted liar who was so good at lying, he bilked very intelligent people out of close to a billion dollars. If Bama's enemy is determined enough to press forward, they could be in trouble. OR at least we can hope. Only problem is that Bama is pretty much a cash cow for the evil empire so for that reason alone, I can't see them hitting them hard, or even allowing "possible sanctions" to hang over their head for three years like they've done with Miami.

Why do you think nothing will come of this? Did you see the wire transfer reciepts and the other reciepts? It looks like a paper trail to me.
