Disagree, you have the ACC champ (UVA), Big XII champ (Iowa State) and Big 10 champ (MSU). Nova is a weak #2, but they have dangerous teams in the 5-8 seeds (Cincy, UNC, UConn, Memphis). Second toughest region after Midwest in my opinion.

I think in one thought in the Tourney: Get a #1 seed and you get a breather (sort of, if you are a legitimate contender) the first week. After that you need to play basketball. Nothing is about weak brackets or such. You WILL face better competition.

SEC West shut out of tourney. At least they have football. Only 3 of top 68 from SEC.

I think that would be a blowout title game. WSU could not handle our defense.

Pitt should have been a 4 seed according to BPI.

Pitt is probably the worst draw we got. Everything else is fine, especially if Kansas isn't healthy.

Not shocking at this point, but per BPI, UK most underseeded team in whole tourney. Although, I've always thought the BPI overrated the Cats this year.

Our bracket is tough, and hell our 2nd round game could be tougher than some others. But we did avoid having Louisville or Michigan State in our bracket. So it's doable.
I agree. Our bracket isn't that bad. Yes, the top 4 seeds are a "who's who". But Syracuse has been struggling, and if Embiid is out, that could be huge for them. They might not even make it there. Ohio State is fully capable of beating them. For that matter, UCLA is fully capable of beating UF.

Yes, I'm glad it is not Pitino standing in Uf's way again (if we happened to get back to the elite 8 matchup). I'd love to see the "teacher vs pupil" matchup in the national championship game, but for the love of god I'm glad he's not personally standing in the way of a final four. It will be other teams that have to knock us out. I actually like our bracket, but I don't feel we can look past UCLA or even Colorado/Pitt. We have neither a "clear-path" anywhere, nor do we have the bracket of death. That would be Wichita State.

That's kind of what I thought also. With the south regional finals in Memphis, it will probably look like a home game for Kansas.

Every bracket is TOUGH - that's because this is the final Tournament.

The Gators had the toughest bracket in the SEC tournament despite winning the conference by 6 games.

It all depends on how the match ups work out.

I'm not worried about the crowd. We won at Rupp and Rupp south this season.

True, but again, let's see Kansas beat New Mexico first.

Looking more into this, it does look like Pitt is probably the only truly bad seeding that we received. Pitt is a top 20 team in Ken Pomeroy's rankings and a way under-seeded team according to BPI. The rest of the draws seem fine, but we will need to be up for Pittsburgh. Tough, good point guard. Great rebounding inside. They look like a less offensively or defensively efficient version of us. We will need to play with a lot of efficiency to win that one.

I hope Cuse and Kansas BOTH make it to the Sweet 16 or neither make it. If they both make it they have to play each other before playing us which is great.

And that would have been an absolutely ludicrous seeding. Their best win all year was two days ago when they beat UNC (a 6 seed). Nobody in their right mind would seed them much higher than the 8 they got.

All kinds of excuses being made for WSU's schedule right now and how "awesome" they are.

heard from some dweeb on espn that Kentucky is bigger, more talented, and more athletic, but WSU's toughness will get them through.

    LOL
